Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 2755

“Mom…”

“Don’t call me that. I’m not your mom. If I hear you calling me that again, I’ll cut your tongue off too. Your mom is still waiting for you in the countryside.”

After speaking, Belinda shut the door again.

Tears flowed down Celine’s face, yet she dared not cry out loud anymore.

She was the perfect example of someone fallen from grace.

Hunter heard Celine’s cries from the bed. Although he felt sorry for her, he stayed quiet.

When he heard footsteps approaching, he closed his eyes.

He did not look at Belinda as he was scared that she would see the sympathy in his eyes.

He knew that he and Celine were done for.

Although he was not chased out, his life in the Fisher household would be a living hell.

However, he had to tolerate it for the sake of the Clark family.

If Hunter wanted his days to get better, his sons had to inherit the head of the family position. Caroline becoming the matriarch would not benefit him at all.

He swore to himself that he would help his sons achieve that once he was discharged. They would change the history of the Fisher family.

A rented luxury car was parked at the entrance of Fortress Hotel.

In the car, Duncan sent Liberty a message to notify her that he had arrived in Jensburg.

Liberty assumed he was still on the way. When she received his message, she quickly gave him a call.

“Duncan.”

When Duncan picked up, Liberty asked, “Where are you? Are you at the airport? Wait for me. I’ll pick you up.”

He had promised the kid that he would bring Liberty back to Wiltspoon safely.

“Duncan is here at the hotel’s entrance. I’m going downstairs to bring him up.”

Jim immediately said, “I’ll go with you.”

Liberty did not refuse his offer.

Jim and another bodyguard accompanied her downstairs.

Duncan had already gotten out of the car. He brought over two of his bodyguards, who usually took care of him.

One of them pushed his wheelchair, while the other was the driver. The bodyguard drove the car away and parked it in the parking lot to avoid blocking the entrance.

Visitors of the hotel could not help but stare when they saw Duncan in a wheelchair.

The hotel’s security walked up to them and asked politely, “Do you require any assistance, sir?”
