Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 2433

Serenity said, “Nana, I’m not giving myself pressure. I’m just keeping an open mind.”

Grandma replied, “Yeah, just stay open-minded. It’s a blessing to have a child, regardless of gender.”

“You have nine grandsons, Nana. You will have nine granddaughters-in-law. I’m sure one of us will give you a great-granddaughter.”

Serenity comforted Grandma May.

Grandma May said with a smile, “I might not live long enough to see them get married and start a family.”

Rowan was still a student. It would be another decade before he would marry. Grandma May was not sure whether she would be around ten years or so later. She believed she had another eight to ten years before she was reunited with her husband.

Her sons and grandsons had their destinies. She could only do so much for them. It was their path to walk now.

“Nana.”

“Alright. I won’t talk about that.”

Grandma May said dotingly, “Let’s walk to the foot of the hill.”

“Will you be tired?”

“No. You’ll be tired sooner than I will. Come on.”

Serenity responded, “You’re not afraid of getting tired, and I’m not either.”

She was not a delicate princess. Though she had become a little delicate after her husband took care of her during her pregnancy, she was still capable of walking.

Grandma May and Serenity chatted while enjoying their walk.

Meanwhile, Liberty had just gotten up.

She got out of bed and went to check on Sonny in his bedroom as always. She opened the door and saw an empty bed. Her son was nowhere to be found. Liberty was taken back for a while before remembering that Sonny was with Serenity.

Serenity had officially left the nest.

He was at a loss for words. The only thing Duncan could do was hand her tissues and wipe away her tears.

Liberty’s world came crashing down the moment she lost her parents.

Nevertheless, she had to stay strong. She had to take care of Serenity, who was only ten years old at the time. What would happen to her sister if she were to falter?

Their share of two hundred thousand dollars from their parents’ insurance compensation would have been taken away by their relatives too.

For Serenity’s sake, Liberty had to be strong to face the loss of their parents. She was Serenity’s pillar.

Now that Serenity ha found her better half, Liberty thought about their parents. She could face her parents, knowing she had done good by them.

“You’re up early, Mr. Lewis. Why don’t you have a longer rest?”

Liberty greeted Duncan a good morning with a smile, telling him to rest more.

Last night, Duncan stayed in the guest bedroom of the Hunts’ residence.
