As Serenity walked to the bathroom, she said, “You’ve told me the same thing countless times. I can memorize them already.”
Liberty laughed. “Have I? I felt like I’ve only said it twice. I’m just worried about you. It wasn’t easy for you to get pregnant, so you must be extra careful. There’ll be many people during the reception. Anyway, you should take care. I reminded Zachary about this too.”
“Did Zachary promise you that he won’t let anyone bump into me?”
Liberty nodded. “He did.”
“You have nothing to be concerned about then. Since Zachary said so, nothing will happen to me. Don’t worry too much. You’ve been worrying about the wedding for the past few days.”
Furthermore, Liberty did not let Serenity help out. She would tell Serenity to sit or lie down even with the slightest movement.
Serenity was in perfect pink of health, so her baby was definitely healthy and strong too. The baby would not be affected that easily.
However, Serenity still listened to her strict sister and accepted her fate of being served.
Luckily, her friends would take turns to chat with her and relieve her boredom.
“Okay, okay. I’ll stop being a worrywart. I’ll hand you over to Zachary safe and sound today. After this, I won’t have to worry about your future anymore. Go and wash up. I already told Mrs. Lane to prepare your breakfast. You can eat something later.
“Zachary was afraid you’ll be hungry. He reminded me not to let you go hungry. What an attentive husband he is.”
Liberty was very satisfied with her brother-in-law.
Serenity’s heart warmed up by Zachary’s sweet gesture too.
Before Serenity and Jasmine got pregnant, they were ultimate foodies. They were able to maintain their figures as they would work out after eating.
Now that they were pregnant, they had to refrain from strenuous activities to protect the baby.
Theresa, Josh’s cousin who was also her dietician, was bossy and loved telling Jasmine what to do.
“It wasn’t this tough for me back when I was pregnant with Sonny. The doctor mentioned that everyone’s situation is different. There’s no cure for morning sickness, so you just have to bear with it for a little longer.”
No matter how unwell Serenity felt from throwing up, she dared tell Zachary. She was worried that for her sake, he would consider aborting the baby like Clive suggested to Alice.
Clive was getting more nervous as Alice’s due date got nearer. Alice said she often saw Clive staring at her bump when she woke up in the middle of the night.
