Zoey was disappointed, but she quickly regained her spirits.

She told her daughter, “I bet Julian is single, Quinn. Whether or not he joins our gym, you can make an effort to get to know him and see if there's a connection.”

Dumbfounded, Quinn said, “Mom, Mr. Bucham is a CEO. He drives multi-million-dollar fancy cars. I bet the bar is set high, and I don’t come close to his expectation of an ideal woman. Besides, I don’t want to marry into money.

“Also, he’s a lot older than me. He’s thirty-five and at least ten years older than me. In a few more years, he could pass for my father.”

Zoey poked Quinn’s head and replied, “Don’t talk like he’s your father’s age. Will is older than you by eight years. Julian is around Will’s age anyway, with about two, three years of age gap.

“Plus, Julian looks younger than Will. I would’ve thought he’s in his early twenties.”

Quinn said amusedly, “Mom, he’s just here to join our gym. Just keep this between us, and don’t talk about it again. People might think I’m desperate to get married if word gets out.”

“You’re twenty-four years old. That’s the right age to marry. Even if you don’t want to marry yet, you can find a nice man to date. I mean, you’ve never been in love before. Sigh, will I ever see you find a man?

“Why did your dad make you learn self-defense from a young age? No child dared to mess with you since kindergarten. You never lost a fight.”

Zoey wanted to roll her eyes, just thinking about the past.

After giving birth to two sons, Zoey was finally blessed with a daughter. She could not wait to dress her up like a princess.

Zoey once thought of matching Quinn with one of the students at the gym, but Quinn saw them as brothers. There was simply no romantic chemistry between her and the other students. The students of the gym were now either married or dating.

In the end, Zoey had to give up on that thought.

“There’s no rush, Mom. Didn’t we go for a reading? I will find the right man when the time is right. Apparently, I will enjoy a future of richness.”

Quinn grabbed a few beverages from the fridge and comforted Zoey with the positive tarot card reading, even though she did not believe in it.

She believed all parents were pretty much the same, often worried about their kids when they reached the age to marry.
