Ben asked, “What happened?”
Elisa was Remy’s girlfriend, and they often showed up as a pair. Why would Walter propose marriage to the Stones?
“Remy, should I inform our grandparents and parents about this? We can prepare some gifts and pay the Stones a visit to ask for their daughter’s hand in marriage as well.”
Ben felt his family was not inferior to the Buchams, and his brother was not lacking compared to Julian too.
Remy had never sought help from his family when it came to matters related to him and Elisa.
His parents, brothers, and sisters-in-law were concerned about his love life. He told them not to worry and that he would definitely win the heart of the girl he loved. He would marry her and spoil her.
Since he said so, his family did not interfere and simply waited for his news.
Otherwise, based on Antonia’s personality, she would have been desperate to fly to Wiltspoon with a marriage proposal on behalf of her youngest son.
However, Remy said the timing was not right and did not allow them to interfere. Therefore, no matter how anxious his parents were, they had no choice but to wait.
After all, it was Remy who would be marrying Elisa, so his wishes were of utmost priority.
“The crisis has been averted, but I guess I can bring forward my marriage proposal. You and Jane will come for Zachary and Serenity’s wedding, right?” Remy asked.
Ben hummed and said, “That’s for sure. Zachary attended my wedding. We definitely have to attend his and Serenity’s wedding.”
Besides, Jane and Serenity had become friends.
Zachary and Serenity had a conflict during Ben and Jane’s wedding back then. Zachary had yet to reveal his true identity to Serenity then too. He even sought Ben’s help for that matter.
“Shall we propose a marriage to the Stones when we go over for Zachary’s wedding?”
Remy replied, “Okay.”
“I was shocked.”
When Remy heard the news, his face turned pale. Walter was persistent and difficult to dissuade, which made Remy genuinely alarmed that the Buchams might take his woman away.
Even after the matter was resolved, he still felt fearful and therefore sought Ben's assistance.
Ben said, "I already advised you to let us act as representatives and visit the Stones. If Mom and Dad had conveyed their intentions, I believe Mrs. Stone's concerns would have been resolved, but you didn't allow us to intervene."
Remy remained silent and let Ben scold him.
“Okay. We’ll be going to Wiltspoon for Zachary and Serenity’s wedding, then we’ll help you ask for Elisa’s hand in marriage from the Stones. Don’t worry. We’ll succeed and not let you worry over it anymore.”
The love rivals Mrs. Stone had created for Remy had traumatized him.
Ben also recalled the countless love rivals he defeated to marry Jane.
