Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 2228

Camryn had been blind for many years. During those years, she had followed Evelyn to seek treatment at various places. They even turned to religion to pray for a cure before.

Nevertheless, every attempt came to a dead end. They had failed so many times that Camryn no longer dared to harbor hope.

She knew Dr. Carden was everyone’s last shot at curing her eyes.

Camryn could handle being disappointed alone if the outcome was undesirable. She was used to it anyway. However, it seemed like everyone would have to experience that disappointment with her.

“Don’t be scared.”

Callum threw his arms open and hugged Camryn tightly. After releasing her, he softly kissed her forehead.

“Don’t worry. I’m here with you.”

Camryn raised her head toward Callum and tried to look at his face. However, her vision was still a blur. She could not see him clearly.

His words, hug, and kiss brought a river of warmth to her heart. Suddenly, she did not feel nervous anymore.

She nodded lightly.

Callum held her hand and guided her to his family’s villa.

At that moment, his phone rang.

He thought his family was urging him. He said, “It’s probably my mom calling to ask for our location.”

Callum took his phone out and had a look. He realized it was not his mother but Trenton who was calling him.

Trenton was his brother-in-law.

Upon hearing Callum mentioning Trenton’s name, Camryn asked continuously, “Is that Trenton? Is that Trenton?”

Trenton heard his sister’s question through the call. He told Callum, “Hand the phone over to my sister, Callum. I want to talk to her.”

Callum passed the phone to his fiancée.

“It’s Trenton.”

Camryn exclaimed in surprise, “Trenton.”

“Camryn, when I contacted Dal previously, I heard him mention that Callum was going to get the legendary doctor’s disciple to cure your eyes. How did it go? Is it possible to regain your sight?”

Trenton had felt awkward and hesitant for some time. Ultimately, his concern for his sister was stronger than anything else. Therefore, he finally called her.
