Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 2169

Caroline then decided she would cut her finger and squeeze out a few drops of blood. Her family would not notice if the wound was not deep.

Given her family’s indifference to her, they would not find out even if she made a few slashes on her wrist.

Audrey said gently, “You don’t have to be in such a rush, Ms. Fisher. You’re a guest here, so stay for a meal.”

“Thank you, Mrs. Stone, but I’ll pass. I have to hurry back. I need to be home by ten tonight.”

After a moment of silence, Audrey said, “In that case, I won’t force you to stay.”

She ordered the housekeeper to bring a fruit knife and instructed him to hand it to Caroline along with a disposable cup.

Caroline picked up the knife and decisively cut her finger with her hand. When the blood oozed out, she immediately caught it with the disposable cup and pressed on the wound after a few droplets fell.

Seeing her do all this without a hint of hesitation, Audrey realized that this girl was a ruthless person.

Fortunately, Caroline seemed to be the one who had the most righteous morals in the Fisher family. Otherwise, it would be quite a headache having her as an enemy.

Liberty went to get a band-aid, tore it open, and pasted it on Caroline’s wound.

“Thank you, Ms. Hunt.”

“You’re welcome.”

Caroline brought the cup with her blood to Audrey and said, “Mrs. Stone, this amount of blood should be enough for the DNA test, right?”

“It is.”

Audrey told Liberty to seal the mouth of the cup tightly with cling wrap. She would take Caroline’s blood to the hospital later to get a DNA blood test done.

“Thank you, Ms. Fisher.”

Audrey thanked her politely.

Liberty said, “The entrance is a little far from here. I’ll drive you there.”

Caroline did not refuse. “Thank you.”

Liberty turned back into the house to get her car keys and drove Caroline to the entrance of the villa area.

Before Caroline got out of the car, she extended her hand to shake hands with Liberty and said, “Take care, Ms. Hunt.”

Liberty shook her hand.

“Goodbye.”

Caroline waved, said goodbye, and got out of the car.

Liberty watched Caroline get into the hired car and waited until it drove away before she drove herself back.
