Tania said, “It seems to you that our son doesn’t have any good qualities.”
Zachary was the eldest grandson of the York family. He was raised by Tania’s in-laws.
It had been her first time being a mother. She did not know how to raise a child. As her in-laws were willing to take her child in, it had taken a burden off her shoulders.
Tania’s husband had just taken over York Corporation at that time. He was extremely busy.
She often accompanied her husband to business engagements as well.
Her in-laws took care of her eldest son and they treated him as the successor of the York family.
Of course, since her eldest son was raised by her in-laws, he was closer and more obedient to them.
After Zachary’s grandfather passed away, his grandmother was the only person who could boss him around.
Tania was unable to meddle in her eldest son’s affairs.
Luckily, her in-laws were great seniors. They had educated Zachary and the other children well.
She and her sisters-in-law had left everything up to their in-laws.
“Zachary does have his strengths. He’s just not as adorable as a daughter.”
Tania scolded her husband, “Do you have a daughter? How would you know about a daughter’s adorableness? Your family is filled with men. I married you and gave birth to three kids, but none of them is a daughter. I was so desperate for a daughter that I even dreamed of it at night. I bought many pretty dresses but had to give all of them away.”
Liam smiled and said, “Maybe we could’ve gotten a daughter if we tried for a fourth baby.”
“Maybe we would’ve ended up with four boys.”
Liam was speechless.
Well, it was true that their family had no daughters for generations.
“Let’s hope for a granddaughter.”
Tania sighed. She closed the photo album. “I don’t even know when we can get a grandchild. I dare not mention this in front of Seren. I’m only talking about this now because Seren and Zack aren’t home now.
“I was looking forward to Zack getting married once he had reached the marrying age. After he got married, I hoped to have a granddaughter. Now, I don’t care whether it’s a grandson or granddaughter. I just want to have a grandchild.”
“Why are you worried? Our son and daughter-in-law are healthy. They’ll fulfill your dream of having a grandchild soon. You’d have a headache like Mom did when our grandchildren start arriving one after another.”
When the couple arrived at the door, Zachary was already heading to the entrance of the main house with his beloved wife in a car driven by the butler.
“Seren.”
Tania went over to them in quick steps, opened the car door, and leaned inside. She asked concernedly, “What’s wrong, Seren?”
Zachary got out of the car.
“Excuse me, Mom. Let Seren get out of the car first. She’s a little tired as we just got off the plane. I’m taking her inside to rest.”
Zachary wanted to carry Serenity out of the car.
Serenity was blushing. She said frustratedly, “I don’t need you carrying me. I’m fine. I’m just sleepy. I can walk by myself.”
“What’s going on?” Liam asked.
Zachary grinned. “Good news, Dad. You’re going to be a grandfather.”
“Is Serenity pregnant?”
