His carefree days were shattered by Grandma May. A master psychic, was it? If he was that amazing, why did he not divine the winning lottery numbers every day? He would be rich if he did.
Julian left.
Clive stood at the gate of his house and watched Julian leave. After a long time, he returned to the house.
...
After lunch, Liberty and Duncan chatted for a while longer before she left the hotel with Sonny and headed to Wildridge Manor.
Along the way, she received several calls.
They were all from the elders of the York family, asking her when she would send Sonny over. They all missed Sonny.
Liberty responded that she was on the way, and finally managed to stop the elders from urging her on the phone.
It was inconvenient for Duncan to move around now, and he did not want to affect everyone’s good mood for the weekend, so he did not follow her to Wildridge Manor.
He sat for an hour before telling his bodyguard to send him back to Westwood Manor.
Before he entered the house, he heard the sound of laughter coming from inside. It was a laughter he had not heard for a long time.
Ever since his car accident, the atmosphere in his family was heavy and lifeless. When something joyful happened, everyone avoided him and secretly rejoiced behind his back for fear that showing their happiness in the open would stimulate his sensitive mind.
Duncan felt that his family was overly cautious.
He admitted that he gave up on himself before, and his temper became particularly bad. He wanted to scold everyone he came into contact with.
He did not know how many times his parents cried because of his bad temper.
However, he came around after leaving the hospital, and he regained his confidence in life.
Never in his dreams would he imagine that someone like him who had always been forthright would one day become an unreasonable person.
Duncan sat at the door for a long time before telling the bodyguard to push him in.
Lily was about to leave.
She came to Wiltspoon for business and dropped by to visit Corey and Duncan.
Although Duncan liked to talk nonsense and swear at people during the time he went crazy, Lily did not hold it against him.
She could understand and empathize with Duncan’s despair.
Earlier, Corey said, “If Duncan accepted you and got together with you, then this wouldn’t have happened. Alas, it’s all fate!”
