Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 2067

Liam was speechless.

They were done for.

How could he cover up for his wife after his son discovered the prescription?

“Who placed a piece of paper under the table?” Zachary muttered.

He picked up the paper and was about to throw it into the trash can immediately. However, when he saw that the paper looked like it had words on it, he could not resist his curiosity and unfolded it.

At that moment, Tania and Serenity exited the kitchen.

When Tania saw her son unfolding a paper to read it and the coffee table seemed to have been moved…

Her expression turned pale in an instant.

She was done for.

How was the paper discovered?

She hid it under the coffee table, yet her son could still find it.

Could it have been her husband who told her son about it?

It was unlikely.

Her husband would not betray her.

Tania tried to calm herself down and not panic. She could simply deny it firmly.

Zachary opened the paper and realized it was a prescription. Although he did not know much about medicine or what the prescription could heal, it must have belonged to his family as it was hidden under the coffee table.

Were his parents or Nana sick?

Nana was probably fine as she was still outside having fun. She had a healthy body.

“Could our employee have noticed the table was unstable when cleaning and wanted to stuff something under it? The prescription could belong to that person.”

Zachary looked toward his mom. In a stern and low voice, he said, “Mom, you’re terrible at making up stories.”

If the employees had noticed that the table was unstable, they would have informed their employer. They would not steady the table with their own prescription.

Moreover, that person must have needed the prescription. Why would they stuff it under the table?

Tania said, “I’m not making up stories. It’s just a guess. The coffee table has always been here. No one knows when the prescription ended up underneath it.”

Afterward, she took the paper from her husband and added, “Zack, your dad and I are okay. We’re perfectly healthy and go for checkups every half a year. You guys would’ve known right away if something was wrong.

“If you don’t believe us, you can ask our family doctor. Your dad and I didn’t even catch a cold lately.”

Both of them were very health-conscious.

The husband and wife were fit as a fiddle.
