I felt sick to my stomach, and I opened my mouth to argue some more, but I was then interrupted.
“Uh… guys,” Irene said, staring at her phone with a sickened look on her face.
Nan leaned in closer to see what Irene was looking at.
“Holy shit,” Nan gasped. “Is that Lila?”
I stepped towards them and hovered over Irene’s other shoulder to look at the phone.
Lila was front and center on the screen. She was live with thousands of watchers. She was sitting at a vanity, putting on makeup, filming a “Get Ready with Me” video. Her blond hair was pulled back with a fluffy headband as she applied foundation.
“I always knew that something was off with Judy,” Lila said as she continued applying makeup. “I mean… where did she really come from, honestly? Those photos of her glowing don’t lie, and I have reliable sources that say that she’s strange and not fit to be Luna.”
There was a pause while Lila stopped to read the comments. Then she let out a laugh and shook her head.
“You really think I’d make a better Luna than Judy?” Lila chuckled. “Well, that’s the goal. If enough people rally behind me, it shouldn’t be a problem. Plus, with my status as a Blackwell, I would surely be a better fit as the Luna of the Silver Crescent Pack.”
“She’s not even a Blackwell,” Irene spat, her lip curling in aggravation. “Now she’s just lying to everybody.”
“I haven’t fully talked to her about that yet,” Selene admitted, looking a bit sheepish. “I did raise her for her entire life, so disowning her just because she was switched at birth didn’t quite seem right.”
“But still,” Irene said, folding her arms across her chest. “She has no actual status. She doesn’t deserve to be Luna like she’s claiming.”
“Is that even possible?” Nan asked, staring between the two of us. “Can Lila become the Luna if the pack is behind her?”
“No, of course not. It doesn’t matter what the pack wants… It’s my father’s choice. He’s a Lycan. It’s always the Lycan Chairmen who make the final decisions. It’s always their decision when it comes to this kind of thing. He would never let Lila be the Luna.”
“But what if the entire pack is against Judy and insists on having Lila?” Nan asked. “There’s still order that needs to be maintained, no? If a majority of the pack is in favor, then the Lycan has to consider the option and make it work for a short time before any final decisions are made.”
Irene went quiet for a moment.
“My father will do what it takes to make sure that doesn’t happen,” she finally said, lowering her gaze; she sounded less convinced now, and it made a knot form in my stomach.

I keep on waiting for another chapter. Is this all??? 🙏🙏🙏...
Magnificent book! True that you skipped through scenes that I believe you would have written beautifully about, like Judy's Luna ceremony and their wedding, not to mention Declan's birth and the family adjustments all around. Yet still, it couldn't take away from the master piece that this literary content actually is. Good job....
Thanks for this wonderful book...
Is the story complete? Gonna leave us on chapter 734 ?...
