Outside the seal, James’ formation wreaked havoc in the void. James, seated at the highest point, suddenly opened his eyes to the chaotic scene below him. The columns within the formation were gradually collapsing under the relentless attacks of Yefrenes’ Caeloros Lights.
The Xwem Chessboard also shrank rapidly under Yefrenes’ control, causing the diagram to contract. Fennec and Hemera were severely injured in the process, and the countless restrictions and formations crafted by the Historial Pestle cracked.
Yefrenes repeatedly dodged the Nothingness Neon Pen, which James had used as his main attacking weapon, leaving him no choice but to recall it.
If the Zirconia Path Scroll had not acted as the formation’s wall, the entire formation would have collapsed under Yefrenes’ counterattack.
“I haven’t formed a genuine spiritual bond with Fennec and Hemera yet, and having them lead the formation now is proving insufficient to trap a Caeloros God,” James murmured and urged his Primordial Spirits to restore the formation.
“Stop being a coward hiding behind a formation! Face me head-on, James! Are you too scared to fight me? Didn’t you claim to be invincible in the Haleth Realm? How can you chicken out from a battle in front of me? I’ve only got half of my strength right now.”
Yefrenes’ taunts echoed within the formation. Her enraged appearance totally contradicted her previously gracious demeanor.
Just as James was about to engage in direct combat, the Historial Palace’s seal shattered after a loud explosion. The two Path Protectors appeared above the palace, instantly thrusting their palms forward to channel their Waltraud Power toward James’ formation.
The formation quickly absorbed the energy. After being replenished, James urged it to quickly repair itself, instantly making it more stable and defensive.
James nodded gratefully to them, and then his other half suddenly emerged from his body.
Zbynek shouted, “What are you doing, James?!”
Yefrenes raised her hand and shot out a Caeloros Light to collide with the dragon.
The dragon roared as it was devoured by the Caeloros Light. However, a gush of Galeat Wind instantly followed. “Even if you’re a Caeloros God, you’ll have to lose today!”
The Galeat Wind merged with the dragon, turning it into a blue, purple, and gold color. Then, the dragon charged forward again and devoured the Caeloros Light.
Boom!
The aggressive dragon knocked away Yefrenes. After steadying herself, she raised her head. “What loyal servants you two are. Fine, I’ll get rid of you two first, then your master.”
