With a flash of light, James opened his eyes and found himself inside a mysterious cave. He was surrounded by magical fruits that emitted dazzling lights, akin to little lanterns illuminating the area.
He scanned his surroundings vigilantly and spotted a luminous figure sitting cross-legged deep within the cave. The figure’s face was obscured, but a potent aura emanated from him.
“You must be exceptionally strong to have made it here,” a mighty voice resounded within the cave.
“Who are you?” James frowned, fixing his gaze on the luminous figure.
After a drawn-out sigh, the figure said leisurely, “It’s been too long. I can’t recall my name anymore. Just call me Dillon Zacharias.”
“Dillon Zacharias?” James’ heart skipped a beat as the name rang a bell in his mind. He abruptly looked at the figure and asked, “Could you be one of the unorthodox factions’ gods imprisoned by the Waitara Path?”
The figure chuckled. “Unorthodox faction? It’s a fitting name. To disciples of the Waitara Path like you, we’re a group that committed treason, huh?”
James silently took a few cautious steps forward. To his surprise, the ground beneath him crumbled with each step. By the time he reached the figure, a deep abyss had formed behind him.
Dillon chuckled. “Don’t be scared! It’s just an illusion! Hmm?”
Suddenly, two blood-red eyes appeared above the figure and shot out crimson light beams that instantly surrounded James.
James squinted and demanded, “I’ll ask one more time. Where are they?”
Seeing James’ stubbornness, Dillon chuckled. “I haven’t fought in over a million entrapochs. Do you want to challenge me?”
James did not waste any words. He pointed two fingers into the void and summoned the Wuia Demon-Slayer Sword. With a flick of his fingers, the sword hurtled toward Dillon with incredible speed.
Bang!
