James left after seeing Yehuda and went to visit Connor.
Connor was also a Grand Emperor that chose to stay hidden during the Primordial Age after learning of the Human Race’s fate.
He did not reveal himself until the establishment of the Heavenly Court after the Fourth Calamity was over.
He never asked for the position of the Lord of the Heavenly Court, nor did he have a high position in the Heavenly Court. He was relatively free and did not have many responsibilities on him.
James appeared outside Connor Palace.
The palace was relatively desolate, and there were no guards outside the gate.
James walked toward the door and knocked lightly. Soon, the door opened, and a graceful woman walked out.
The woman was slender and wore a pink dress.
“Master has been expecting you. Please do enter.”
The woman made a welcoming gesture.
James was not surprised and walked in without hesitation.
After entering the palace, he was taken to the backyard.
In the backyard, there was a table with a chess board in an open field. A man who looked to be in his sixties could be seen playing chess alone.
He wore a gray robe and had a beard. His appearance was of an elderly man, but his body was full of vitality.
The woman walked over and reported respectfully, “Master, James is here.”
“Alright.”
Connor put the chess piece in his hand down and looked at James. He pointed at a chair and said softly, “Have a seat.”
James sat down and looked at Connor seated opposite him. Connor was calm and elegant, unlike someone who had great ambitions.
After James left, Connor smiled faintly. “Haha. You’re still too naive, Young Man.”
After visiting Yehuda and Connor, James went to see Yaraka.
Yaraka used to be the Earth’s Chamber of Scriptures custodian. She guarded the place for many years and provided James with a lot of help when he was still very weak.
She even helped him reform his physical body.
In the backyard of the palace where Yaraka resided, James and Yaraka walked side by side.
Yaraka wore a white dress. She was incredibly beautiful and looked pure and innocent. Her aura was ethereal, and her every move was graceful.
“Yaraka.”
James parted his lips and said gratefully, “When I was weak, it was you who kept helping me from behind the scenes. Without you, I wouldn’t be where I am today.”
