“Miss, may I know who your lady is? By the way, where did she go?”

“She’s called Melany Yanis, and she has gone to Doncaster City, the core city of Doncaster since the Welkin Academy is currently admitting new disciples. Ms. Melany wants to join the academy,” the woman answered.

Hearing this, James furrowed his eyebrows.

The Welkin Academy? What the hell was that?

He asked, “What’s the Welkin Academy?”

The woman suppressed a snicker and said, “You aren’t a cultivator I guess, or you would have heard about the Welkin Academy.”

James simply smiled and said nothing.

The woman explained, “There are a few influential forces in the Ancient Realm, primarily the Sect, the Academy, and the Clan.”

James asked puzzledly, “What do you mean?”

The woman said, “The Sect refers to the Divinity Sect.”

Hearing this, James took a deep breath. Though he knew that the Divinity Sect belonged to the Ancient Realm, he had no idea that it enjoyed such a lofty status.

“The Academy refers to the Welkin Academy.

“Meanwhile, the Clan refers to the Ancient Clan.”

Upon hearing the explanation, James now had a rough idea of the distribution of power within the Ancient Realm.

He was also intrigued by the Welkin Academy. Since he had nowhere to go in the Ancient Realm, he could join the Welkin Academy and become a disciple there. Once he cultivated enough, he would return to Earth and have his revenge.

Once he left the city, he found a secluded spot and entered the Celestial Abode. There, he plucked the Empyrean Berries and consumed them before healing his injuries in the Time Chamber.

Soon, his injuries were healed, and his strength returned to its peak form.

On a mountain the Ancient Realm, James was fighting against a ferocious beast. The beast was a huge python several hundreds of meters in length.

As James struck with his fist, the python immediately exploded.

With a delighted look on his face, he murmured, “I suffered grave injuries from the lightning strikes and almost succumbed to them, but my body is made out of the Demonic Lotus. The lightning was able to nourish my body as well. Now that my injuries have healed, my physical strength should be equivalent to the First Stair of Immortal Ascension.”

Though James almost lost his life, he nonetheless gained enormous benefits.

His physical strength had increased to such an extent that he was now able to fight against some at the Immortal Ascension’s First Stair.
