“You asked for it. Who else is there to blame?” Jade scoffed, crossing her arms as she took a bold step forward.

Natalia shot Alicia a venomous look. “Fine. Very well, Alicia. I think you've forgotten that I still hold Easton's little secret. If you push me, aren't you afraid...”

“You're willing to burn your trump card over a splash of water? That's quite the overreaction. Keep in mind, the moment you let that secret slip, you lose all your leverage,” Alicia said mildly. She knew Natalia wouldn't dare play her hand so recklessly.

Natalia's face turned a furious shade of red. Her hands clenched into tight fists as she struggled to form a coherent response. “Fine! Then let's talk about the deal. I'm telling you right now, Lynch Corporation is completely done with you.”

Alicia watched her temper tantrum and laughed out loud. “Is that so? Are you the one running Lynch Corporation now? From what I hear, you're just another employee on the payroll. The final say belongs to Micah Quinn. Do you really think Micah answers to you?”

Natalia's expression turned even more twisted. She was already seething that the mastermind had handed the reins of Lynch Corporation over to Micah, and Alicia's words struck a raw nerve.

She was completely cornered, losing at every turn.

“I've already spoken to Micah. They'll send a different representative for this project,” Alicia said, turning back to Jade. “As long as you work for White Corporation, the company will guarantee your safety and take full responsibility for you.”

Jade nodded, overwhelmed by a deep, awkward sense of gratitude that she struggled to voice. “Thank you.”
