Rich Radiant and Over Him (Alicia and Vincent) novel Chapter 541

Originally, Melisande had been racking her brain for a permanent way to eliminate Pamela. As long as her sister was alive, she was just another obstacle standing between Melisande and full control of the Edwards family empire.

But now? The problem had solved itself effortlessly.

It truly seemed like God was on her side.

Smiling triumphantly, Melisande poured herself another glass of wine, savoring it slowly.

In the dim light of the living room, her eyes were bottomless and sharp, like a predator locked onto its prey in the dead of night.

...

The next morning.

Sunlight spilled into the bedroom. Alicia stretched lazily and reached for the other side of the bed. It was empty.

A wave of disappointment washed over her. She rolled around dramatically in the sheets. Had Tyrone sneaked out again?

"Time for breakfast, sleepyhead," Tyrone's voice chuckled from the doorway.

Alicia froze. She hadn't expected him to still be there. Flushed with embarrassment, she refused to look up, silently grabbing the edge of the duvet and pulling it entirely over her head.

Tyrone laughed, exasperated but deeply endeared. He walked over and gave her covered hip a light smack. "Come on, eat your breakfast. Don't you have to get to the office? I had Kenney Lockwood reach out to Vanguard Solutions for you regarding that project. Their boss agreed to a private lunch meeting with you."

Alicia threw the covers off, sitting up eagerly, her eyes sparkling as she looked at him.

Even while faking his own death and operating from the shadows, Tyrone never missed a single detail when it came to her.

Alicia rested her head against Tyrone's chest, a lump forming in her throat. "Clayton and I aren't even that close... yet he's doing all of this for me behind the scenes."

"He's repaying the massive debt he owes your grandfather. He knows the value of gratitude. This is just his way of making things right," Tyrone said softly, rubbing her back to soothe her. "Now come on, let's get you fed. You don't want to get an ulcer."

Alicia let out a muffled groan, stubbornly clinging to him, refusing to let go until he agreed to carry her to the table.

Chuckling, Tyrone scooped her up effortlessly and carried her into the bathroom to wash up.

Even while brushing her teeth, Alicia stayed glued to his side.

She didn't want to spend a single second away from him.

And more than anything, she was endlessly grateful that Vincent had abandoned her all those years ago—because it had given her the chance to meet Tyrone.
