Jade had been waiting outside the gate for a long time, but the butler refused to let her in.

"Clayton! Let me in!" Jade cried, her voice laced with desperation. Everyone was watching her now. Her spectacular failure at the design competition meant her career in the industry was over. Clayton was her only lifeline.

Inside, Clayton stood by the window, watching Jade wait in the biting wind. He took a slow sip of tea, a cold smile on his face.

The Jade of today was a world away from the arrogant Ms. White she once was.

Clayton had no interest in pushing her into hell himself, but he was more than happy to watch as she and her mother walked themselves into it, step by step.

"Sir, it's started to rain… Miss White is still waiting outside," the butler said softly as he entered the room.

"Tell her to go home. I don't want to see her today," Clayton said flatly. He turned and went to his study to get away from the sight of her.

The butler nodded, then went back outside to where Jade stood in the downpour. "I'm sorry, Miss White. The master won't see you. He's tired and wishes to rest. Please go home."

Jade was soaked to the bone, but she stood her ground, her heart filled with resentment.

She knew Clayton was getting his revenge.

Clara sat in the living room, sipping coffee and watching the storm rage outside.

"Miss, Clayton has allowed that girl, Susanna, to move into his villa. I've heard that since he acquired that house, no woman has ever stayed there," her assistant reported quietly.

Clara merely smiled and continued to drink her coffee.

"Also… at the design competition, Clayton stole Alicia's design for Jade and publicly defended her. It's clear that he and Alicia have had a falling out," the assistant added.

Clara seemed to have heard the news she was waiting for. She finally set down her coffee cup. "Clayton and Alicia are finished. White Corporation will inevitably face internal turmoil. This is exactly the outcome we wanted."

The assistant nodded quickly. "Miss, are you really going to stand by and watch that imposter Jade use your identity? Clayton is a very capable man. If he were willing to genuinely help you, he would be a powerful ally. Why let a fake enjoy everything that should be yours?"
