Alicia’s Home.
After Tyrone’s accident, Winnie grew anxious that Alicia might also be in danger, so she packed her things and moved in to keep her company.
No sooner had Tyrone passed than the so-called Lynch “relatives” began crawling out of the woodwork, each one eager to claim a piece of the inheritance. Vincent faced them down—the aunts, uncles, cousins twice removed—making it clear that Maddox’s share of the estate had been invested by Tyrone. That investment was off-limits; not a single one of them had any right to it.
But when it came to Tyrone’s other assets, the family’s arguments turned ugly. They insisted that since Alicia had only just married Tyrone and bore him no children, it was simply unfair for her to inherit everything alone.
“Alicia, how long were you even married to Tyrone?” one of the uncles sneered. “You weren’t even able to give him a child. What makes you think you deserve his whole estate?” They squabbled over every little scrap as if picking over a carcass, and even dragged Marcus, Tyrone’s father, into the mess.
“I’m Tyrone’s father. If anyone’s entitled to inherit, it’s me,” Marcus said, his voice low and grave.
“You never raised Tyrone, so you have no claim,” Easton shot back, his tone cold. “And if you keep pushing, don’t expect me to look after you in your old age.”
That threat shut Marcus up. He’d learned the hard way that his eldest son didn’t make idle threats, especially after seeing Easton’s ruthless streak firsthand in the old hometown. Losing another son was a risk he couldn’t take.
Still, the uncles wouldn’t give up. “Marcus, you have to fight for this! You deserve a share!” they urged.
When the funeral ended, Alicia wiped away her tears and sat quietly in the living room, sorting through the things Tyrone had left behind.
“Easton, the funeral’s over,” Natalia said, unable to hide her impatience. “Let’s go. Lena’s waiting for you at home. She has nowhere else to go—she’ll be staying at your place for now.”
Natalia had bought a move-in-ready house, fully furnished, with all kinds of hidden cameras installed. She’d planned it all so Easton would be drawn in, hoping to catch him in a compromising position and use it to control Lynch Corporation now that Tyrone was gone.
But Winnie cut in before Easton could answer. “Easton, your brother just passed. There isn’t a single man left in this house, and the relatives keep coming around, stirring up trouble. Alicia’s pregnant—she can’t handle things alone. As the man of the Lynch family, you should be here for your sister-in-law right now.”
