Rich Radiant and Over Him (Alicia and Vincent) novel Chapter 406

Easton looked at Natalia, eyebrows raised. Was she really that eager to kick him out? The thought made him scoff—she was truly ruthless.

“Natalia, honestly, I’m fine staying at the hotel,” he said, feigning nonchalance. “The rooms are spotless, housekeeping comes by every day, it’s convenient for me. And besides, the hotel is owned by Lynch Corporation anyway—I don’t feel the least bit guilty about staying there. That penthouse suite was always meant for whoever’s in charge.”

He was clearly refusing, but Natalia wasn’t having it.

“You’re the future CEO of Lynch Corporation,” she pressed, grabbing his arm. “And you don’t even own a proper home in Seaview City? What will people say? You should know better than anyone how this world works—everyone judges by appearances. If you want to play in this league, you have to look the part, or you’ll be trampled. Trust me on this. Come on, let’s go buy you a house.”

“Natalia, slow down,” Easton protested, quickly pulling his arm free. “Buying a house isn’t like picking up a cup of coffee on the way to class. Let’s at least talk it through.”

Natalia, sensing his resistance, eased up a bit. She didn’t want to push too hard and make him suspicious. “Fine. After school, we’ll check out a few neighborhoods—just look, nothing more. If we find one you like, we’ll talk. Don’t worry about the money, either. You’re a good investment, and Maddox specifically asked me to look out for you. I know I won’t regret it.”

Easton put on a grateful expression. “Thank you, Natalia. Ever since my grandfather passed, you’re the only one who’s truly looked after me.”

She gave a dramatic sigh, playing along. “Don’t be silly. It’s my duty, you know? My dad and I owe everything to the Lynch family. The old man asked me to watch over you—I couldn’t ignore that, even if I wanted to.”

Easton nodded, pretending to be touched.

“Alright, get to class,” Natalia said, already itching to get moving. “I’m skipping today—I’ll go scout some neighborhoods and pick a few options for you to consider.”

Winnie loved to tease Easton, treating him like a kid brother. Her type was mature, successful men—someone like Tyrone. If it weren’t for Alicia, she’d be all over him. Or maybe Clayton Vincent—either way, Easton was definitely not her idea of a man; he was just fun to mess with. And Easton knew it, which only made him more sullen.

He still answered. “Natalia’s insisting I move out of the hotel. She wants to buy me a house—like, right now.”

Winnie and Alicia exchanged a look, then slapped their hands on the table in unison. “Buy it! Spend her money—why not? And make sure the deed’s in your name.”

Easton gave them a helpless look. “She’s so desperate to get me out—there has to be some scheme behind it. And last night, she and her father even tried to set me up with a pretty face.”

Alicia and Winnie considered this. They both knew Natalia was cunning, and Easton, despite his street smarts, was still just a rookie compared to someone like her. It was no wonder he felt outmatched.
