Rich Radiant and Over Him (Alicia and Vincent) novel Chapter 386

“Could you divorce Alicia if I asked you to?” Vincent’s tone was loaded with meaning.

“In your dreams.” Tyrone spun on his heel, ready to leave.

“I knew you wouldn’t go through with it.” Vincent drew a deep breath and spoke again. “I just need you to help me get what I want.”

“Such as?” Tyrone paused, glancing back at him.

“Such as shares and actual control of Lawson & Co.” Vincent’s voice was low and steady.

Tyrone arched a brow. “Fine by me.”

...

Lawson & Co.

Mayfield swaggered down the corridor, dragging Mina toward the elevator—just as Vincent stepped out. Mayfield made no effort to move aside, his arrogance dialed to ten.

“Well, well, Mina, look who it is. Mr. Lawson himself. Oh wait—should I even call you that anymore? Won’t be long before you’re out on the street, Vincent,” Mayfield sneered.

He’d just come from Stephen’s office, where Stephen had made it clear: if Vincent didn’t secure Tyrone’s investment, he was out of Lawson & Co. Mayfield was already celebrating.

“Move,” Vincent’s voice was cold, making it clear he wasn’t in the mood.

Mina shrank back, nervous, trying to step aside, but Mayfield yanked her back. “What are you scared for? We’re getting on the elevator—why should we move for him?”

Mayfield stared Vincent down. “You always thought you were better than us just because you’re legitimate, didn’t you? I doubt that’ll save you for much longer.”

Without another word, Vincent slammed his foot into Mayfield’s chest, sending him flying down the hall.

Mina shrieked in shock.

Joie bristled. “Stephen, what’s that supposed to mean?”

“He means get out.” Vincent could feel his patience wearing thinner by the day with these people.

He used to think Tyrone was the uncivilized one whenever he lost his temper. Now, Vincent just wanted to curse them all and be done with it. To hell with good manners—what was the point with people this shameless?

“Stephen…” Joie’s eyes welled with tears, hoping for sympathy.

But Stephen, needing something from Vincent now, just looked at her sternly. “Leave us, Joie.”

She huffed, but eventually left, slamming the door behind her.

“How’s it going?” Stephen asked, adjusting his suit.

Vincent’s voice was low. “Tyrone’s interested in the project I pitched, but there’s one condition. He won’t work with you. After you had Mayfield fake his death to frame Tyrone, Mayfield spilled everything to him the minute he was caught.”
