What on earth.
Easton opened his mouth, flustered. He had to admit, when it came to Winnie’s verbal sparring, she could take on ten at once and still come out on top.
And it wasn’t just her words—she could throw a punch just as well.
Alicia tried to stifle her laughter, giving Winnie a big thumbs-up.
Honestly, it always came down to Winnie in their family. As long as she was awake, she’d argue with anyone—God, fate, or even the air itself.
“The Lynch family is run by Easton now,” Natalia shot back, her tone sharp as ever. “I owe the Lynch family for their support, sure, but if I’m grateful to anyone, it’s Easton—not Tyrone.”
Easton coughed awkwardly. “Alright, that’s enough. Let’s drop it.”
“She’s obviously looking down on you,” Natalia snapped, getting heated. “I just think you deserve better. Who does she think she is?”
“I’m his sister-in-law, that’s who. I can do what I want. We’re family here. You’re just an outsider—why are you even butting in?” Alicia snatched the cup of milk tea from Natalia’s hand. “If I don’t want it, I’ll throw it away—that’s my business. Easton bought it for me, so why are you trying to take it?”
She shot an angry look at Easton, who immediately straightened up and nodded his head in agreement.
Natalia let out a huff, clutching her book as she stormed off to sit alone.
Easton slunk down in his seat, pulling his book over his face. Girls fighting was terrifying…
He decided it was best to steer clear of this kind of drama in the future.
“Easton, you’re such a wimp,” Nicole scoffed, rolling her eyes at him.
Easton ignored her.
“She treats you like a dog, you know,” Nicole kept needling him.
He still didn’t respond.
Nicole huffed in annoyance. She’d tried her best to stir up trouble—was Easton really that dense?
Alicia and Winnie took their seats, focusing on the lesson as if nothing had happened.
Meanwhile, Natalia hid behind her book, secretly texting someone on her phone.
Clearly, Winnie had hit a nerve.
Nicole turned her fury on Clayton instead. “When is Grandpa finally going to make my identity public?”
Clayton replied in his usual calm, “Miss, there’s no rush. Your studies come first. Once you’ve proven yourself, you’ll have more authority to inherit Lynch Corporation. The old man is thinking of your future.”
Nicole huffed. He gave her the same excuse every time.
“Can’t you see the way they’re talking to me?” Nicole demanded, pointing at Alicia and Winnie. “I want you to teach them a lesson!”
Clayton answered coolly, “Violence is illegal, Miss White.”
Nicole stomped her foot in frustration. “Then I want you to tell the White family to cut off all business with Winnie’s father!”
Winnie glared at Nicole, seething.
Nicole, smug again, continued, “The White family will be mine to command one day. I could make the Ryan family disappear with a snap of my fingers. Tyrone can barely protect himself now—maybe you should wake up and stay away from Alicia!”
