Chapter 78 Turning Things Around
“My issues with Jae have nothing to do with you. As her ex–husband, you should stay buried in your grave. If you keep resurrecting like this, I might just have to bring a priest to exorcise you and send you back where you belong.” Eric said, his words sharp and biting.
Jeremiah’s expression darkened further at Eric’s remarks
Before he could make a move, I interrupted coldly, “Why are you here? If you’re just looking for trouble, I don’t mind calling the police again and having you hauled back to the station! I narrowed my eyes, no longer wanting to argue with him. I turned to look at Eric instead. “I’m a bit tired, so I’m going to go rest. You should head home too.”
I then turned to go inside.
Jeremiah panicked and reached out to stop me, but before his hand could touch my shoulder, Eric stopped him.
“Did you not hear Jae? She’s tired. If you’re truly concerned, you should let her rest now, not keep pestering her. Or is it that Jae’s right about all your actions being just empty gestures?” Eric’s sharp gaze swept over Jeremiah.
