Revenge is best served cold novel Chapter 73

Chapter 73 No Bounds

Thad a bad feeling. Dad wasn’t unavailable; Benson just didn’t plan on letting him come at all.

After sitting down, Benson enthusiastically started telling me about the restaurant’s new dishes.

I found myself zoning out, not paying attention to what he was saying. By the time I came back to my senses, I realized he had somehow moved close to me.

“Jae, I heard from your dad that you’ve been busy with work. I’m sure you’re anxious about the investment, so why don’t we discuss it now?” As he spoke, he casually rested his arm on the back of my chair.

I glanced at him out of the comer of my eye, feeling more and more disgusted and repulsed. Now, I understood—he wasn’t interested in discussing an investment at all. This was just an opportunity to fulfill his desires.

It was a pity Dad trusted him so much, not knowing what kind of man he truly was.

I narrowed my eyes and smiled as I moved away from him, pulling out the contract and placing it in front of him.

“Benson, the specifics are all in the contract. You can take a look, and if you have any questions, . feel free to ask.““

He pretended to glance at the contract before smiling at me. “There’s nothing wrong with the contract. We can sign it once we’re done eating”

Then, he moved even closer to me. This time, his gaze was even bolder and more invasive.

I rolled my eyes. This was no normal man–he was an old pervert!

III kept dealing with him, I might just throw up. I forced a smile, handing him the pen. 1 wanted him to sign quickly, but instead, he grabbed my hand, taking the opportunity to touch it.

It seemed my words had no impact on him at all. He wiped the red wine off his face in frustration, glaring at me. Instead of being scared, he only became bolder.

“You should know how many connections and resources I have behind me, right? Even your dad has to be polite to me when he sees me. How dare you reject me? Aren’t you afraid of bringing trouble to your family?”

I couldn’t stand rolling my eyes again.

Where did this guy get the confidence to think that our family was beneath him?

My dad was polite to him because he treated him as a friend. But Benson didn’t know humility. Instead, he had grown arrogant. People like him didn’t deserve such valuable social connections.

I couldn’t be bothered to argue with him anymore. I grabbed the contract and headed for the door, but as soon as I opened it, two bodyguards blocked my way.
