Revenge is best served cold novel Chapter 144

Mom and Dad's words left me completely confused.

Upon seeing the confusion in my eyes, Mom sighed helplessly and pulled out her phone, opening up the official account of Flint Group.

Flint Group posted an announcement about their collaboration with LunaGlo three hours ago. The post was now pinned to the top of their page.

I couldn't believe that Eric was willing to go this far for me.

Considering the current reputation of LunaGlo in the domestic market, anyone who partnered with us would typically be dragged down with us. Yet Flint Group had boldly announced to everyone that they unconditionally supported LunaGlo.

A wave of warmth spread through my chest.

Even though I had left home and the chilly wind was biting through the streets, I didn't feel cold at all. Without realizing it, I pulled out my phone and called Eric. The moment the call connected, I heard his magnetic voice, causing my mind to momentarily go blank.

I stayed silent for a while, not knowing what to say.

Even though he couldn't hear my thoughts, Eric didn't rush me. He simply stayed silent, patiently waiting.

Finally, I managed to say the first words after the call connected, "What are you doing?"

As soon as the words left my mouth, I regretted them. It felt like I had no right to ask such a thing, but the words just slipped out of me in that heated moment.

Eric's voice came through cautiously but with a trace of amusement. "I'm following someone."

I was momentarily stunned, then whispered, "You can't just casually admit you're stalking someone."

I heard the sound of his laughter from behind me. "It depends on who I'm following."

Eric nodded, his face expressionless, though I could still see the suppressed amusement in his eyes. Finally, his lips couldn't help but curl into a smile. "I didn't tell him I was coming to find you."

I couldn't help but laugh.

Levi always seemed sharp and venomous, but he was like a small fish trying to swim with sharks in front of Eric. He was completely out of his depth. However, I wasn't complaining. It was actually a blessing for me not to see them bicker.

We strolled quietly through the streets, the cool wind clearing my mind. For me, it was the best kind of relaxation.

Eric stayed by my side like a shadow and wandered aimlessly along the street with me until I grew tired. Then, he summoned the driver over with a call.

As soon as we got in the car, his phone started ringing non-stop.
