Revenge is Best Served After Reborn (James) novel Chapter 1800

Odie glanced around at the campus life bustling around him once more.

It looked nice, sure, but it didn't feel like it was his scene.

He wasn't your typical college student shooting hoops, grabbing a meal in the dining hall, or cramming into dorm rooms for endless video game sessions.

His life was meant for chaos and thrill.

Just like Sophie standing there, she was a part of this campus. Their paths were never supposed to cross.

"Quit following me. I told you, I'm not going to jump."

Odie turned his back and took a few steps away, hearing Sophie's footsteps trailing just behind.

Catching sight of her cautious shadow, Odie warned, "If you keep tailing me, I'll head to the rooftop right now."

Sophie finally stopped in her tracks.

Handling a girl at this age was a piece of cake for Odie.

"Remember, the name's Odie. Don't mix me up with someone else."

He waved a dismissive hand without looking back, walking away from her.

Sophie stood there, watching him go, mumbling, "What a strange guy."

He knew her name, came up to her out of the blue, teased her, and then threatened to jump.

Now he's backtracking.

Weird, but somehow not entirely off-putting.

The next morning rolled around.

Odie woke up in his dorm bed yet again.

He bolted upright, frustration etched on his face.

Why was he still stuck in this dream?!

At first, Odie found it all fascinating.

But by the second day, unease crept in.

He had no clue about the right dosage for The Silent Shadows powder.

It felt like the line between reality and illusion was blurring.

Odie had a gnawing feeling.

If this kept up, he might be trapped in this dream world forever.

Because everyone here was just a figment of imagination.

It wasn't just the drug crafting a vivid illusion for him.

"Odie?"

Suddenly, there was Sophie standing in front of him.

Today, she wore a white dress, her long hair gracefully draped over her back, with an air of youthful innocence.

Odie gazed at Sophie for a moment.

Her eyes were like captivating obsidian, seemingly able to pierce through everything.

In this make-believe world, Sophie seemed to be the only one who was real.
