Revenge is Best Served After Reborn (James) novel Chapter 1696

Outside Aldridge Estate.

The secretary saw Colby walking back from Aldridge Estate and immediately got into the car. The secretary asked, "Mr. Colby, where to next?"

"The office."

Colby pulled out his phone and skillfully dialed a number.

However, the line was busy.

Seeing his boss's uneasy expression, the secretary couldn't help but ask, "Mr. Colby, are we going back?"

"No, to S Corporation."

"Understood."

Colby's heart was filled with unease; he hoped things wouldn't be as bad as he feared.

Inside S Corporation, all the employees were busy, hardly anyone noticed Colby striding into the company.

It was Tricia who spotted Colby first. A puzzled look crossed her face as she asked, "Mr. Colby? What brings you here at this hour? Didn’t Ms. Sophie come with you?"

Halfway through his path, Colby suddenly stopped, then immediately turned around and headed back outside.

The secretary followed Colby, watching as he went from walking to briskly stepping and then to running. He seemed to have lost all his rationality, his usual calm and depth.

His bewildered expression was like that of a lost child.

The secretary could only follow him, repeatedly asking where they were going next.

In the central hospital of Devonport.

The hospital corridors were empty except for Rick and Harold standing on one side.

In the meeting room, several experts with grim expressions walked out.

Harold almost immediately headed towards the meeting room.

Because in his heart, his brother was the most suitable person to lead the Aldridge family.

No one could do it better than Gordon in this world.

In the end, Gordon gently stroked Harold's head, just like he did when Harold was younger, praising his brother for his intelligence.

But this time, Gordon said nothing.

He resumed his usual demeanor, no longer looking at the only brother he had in this world.

Gordon said calmly, "Rick, let's go in."

"Yes, sir."

"Bro! Let me go with you, let me stand by you! Brother!"

No matter how much Harold pleaded, Gordon didn't look back.
