Revenge is Best Served After Reborn (James) novel Chapter 1682

"I'm here!"

Outside the church, Griffin suddenly shouted. A group of mercenaries rushed in first, followed closely by Elodie and Julian. Most importantly, Sophie spotted members of the Pollard family amidst the chaos.

Kiran stepped forward, his voice cold as ice, "You old fool, today marks your end!"

"Now is the time! Go!"

Griffin blocked the people in front of Colby.

Meanwhile, Wesley had already placed the crystal on the device.

As everyone plunged into a fight, Sophie immediately yelled, "Colby! The machine has a startup time, you must act fast! Shut it down before it activates!"

"Reece, stop them."

Wesley's expression remained indifferent.

Reece quickly made his move.

Sophie had not known Reece to be so formidable, watching as Reece's skills could actually match Colby's.

"It's too late... I can't break through..."

Colby couldn't get past Reece, and Sophie watched helplessly as the machine on the platform began to emit a strange glow.

It felt just like the first time in the Aldridge family's basement.

Just then, Colby felt a strange glow emanating in front of him and instinctively retreated five to six meters.

Instead of the feared anomaly, a massive explosion destroyed the machine.

"Whoa!"

Colby shouted, and everyone quickly hit the ground.

The aftermath of the explosion scattered through the air.

This explosion turned the device and the crystal into fragments.

Reece coldly said, "My people don't make mistakes. What Odie had, was the crystal you had sent overseas to Summerfield. There's no mistake."

Gordon just smiled faintly without a word, but Reece quickly read something in Gordon's gaze and frowned, "Could it be... it was fake from the beginning? The crystal was never in your possession? Then what you initially took from the Pollard family..."

"Fake."

Kiran added coldly from the side, "If the old man truly had something so valuable, would the Pollard family ever be in trouble?"

"Fake... all of it was fake?"

Wesley staggered back, pointing at Gordon, almost grinding his teeth, "Then you..."

"I'm tough to kill; I'm sorry to disappoint Mr. Wesley."

Gordon spoke in an even tone, "However, if the news of my death hadn't reached my uncle's ears, my plan wouldn't have succeeded. Uncle, your eagerness for quick success was your first mistake. Your arrogance was the second. Underestimating your enemy, especially me, was your third mistake."

Gordon continued emotionlessly, "A single misstep can lose the whole game, and uncle, you've made three. Those who are inherently suspicious are more easily deceived by me, and arrogant forces will surely be defeated."
