“Shut up! Shut up! Shut up!” Kelly screamed hysterically, covering her ears as if trying to block out the memories.

Kelly clutched her ears, on the verge of breaking down, but the memories kept flooding back uncontrollably, scene after painful scene.

Kelly recalled bitterly, ‘Every time Angelo and I were together, he’d immediately grab his phone after we were intimate.

‘Every time after we were intimate, I had to go take a shower, and there he was, completely absorbed in his phone.

‘The more I think about it, the scarier it gets…‘

Kelly realized with horror, ‘So all this time, Angelo had been treating me like this…

‘Yet I was completely clueless all this time…‘

Kelly finally snapped. She lunged at the girl, and they immediately got into a vicious hair–pulling fight.

The girl was Renata’s closest friend and had heard her call Kelly a big–breasted airhead countless times. But she never expected Kelly to be so violent. She suddenly lunged at her and started viciously yanking her hair.

The girl shrieked, her voice trembling with fear, “Kelly!”

Kelly had completely lost it, she desperately needed to vent her rage.

Terrified, Timothy burst into terrified sobs, clutching his teddy bear tightly as he cried out repeatedly, “Help! Somebody help!”

Half an hour later, Aiden stormed into the police station, his face dark with rage.

Kelly’s face was streaked with bloody scratches, and the other girl fared no better, both were wailing, each trying to outdo the other. To make matters worse, Timothy was sobbing nearby, giving everyone at the police station a splitting headache.

But the real headache was, both of these young ladies came from influential families, the kind the police couldn’t afford to offend.

As Aiden approached, Kelly’s sobs grew even louder. “Aiden!” she cried out desperately, tears streaming down her face.

“Aiden!” Timothy ran over and clung to Aiden’s leg, pointing at the girl who had fought with Kelly. He cried out, “That mean girl bullied Kelly!”

Amid her sobs, Kelly almost burst into laughter.

The girl choked on her words. “You… you little brat…”

Aiden scowled and snapped, “That’s enough! You’re grown–ups, still fighting like children?”

His tone was stern, as if scolding Kelly, but his eyes landed on the other girl for just a brief, dismissive glance before looking away.

He thought, ‘Just one of Renata’s troublemaking friends. No wonder they fought.”

Kelly was crying her heart out, feeling incredibly wronged.

Neither girl would back down, both chattering away to their parents like a pair of squabbling birds. In the end, the confrontation wrapped up with the other girl’s parents forcing awkward, ingratiating smiles at Aiden.

After leaving the police station, Kelly sobbed uncontrollably in the backseat, pouring out every detail to her brother. With each revelation, Aiden’s expression grew darker and darker.

Timothy hugged his toy, but he was too young to understand what was happening. He just knew Kelly had been bullied. Sitting beside her, he patted her back with his chubby little hands and started crying too, sniffling, “Kelly, don’t cry.”

But Kelly only cried harder, clutching Timothy to her chest as she broke down into messy, heaving sobs.

When she got home and heard the news, Valerie’s heart sank like a stone. A dangerous glint flashed in her eyes as she demanded, “Is all this true, or are they just making things up?”

Kelly hesitated, then broke into fresh sobs. “As much as I hate to admit it, they might really be telling the truth… What should I do? If those photos get out, how could I ever show my face in public again?”

Valerie’s eyes glinted coldly as she patted Kelly’s shoulder. “Our family isn’t that easy to mess with,” she said, “Since he’s so desperate to be with Renata, let’s just give them exactly what they deserve.”

Kelly choked back a sob, stunned into momentary silence. She looked up at Valerie with wide, disbelieving eyes.

Valerie shot her an exasperated look. “Don’t tell me you’re still hung up on him at this point?”

Kelly sniffled and shook her head, her eyes shining with admiration. “No way! After what he did, I couldn’t hate him more if I tried. But the way you said that just now, damn, you were so badass!”

Valerie chuckled and tapped her gently on the forehead. “Alright, honey, your makeup’s running all over. Go wash up and let’s eat!”

“Got it!” Kelly replied with a cheerful nod.

Watching her skip off cheerfully, Aiden strolled over to Valerie with a curious smile. “So, what’s your plan?” he asked.

Thinking about Kelly’s tragic fate in her previous life made Valerie’s heart ache. Now, faced with all this again, all the hatred and resentment welled up inside her. She had to give them a taste of their own medicine.

Valerie shot him a cold glance and said, “We’ll give them a taste of their own medicine.”

Angelo had been stuck in the hospital for half a month, and he was already getting restless. Out of the blue, someone from his company showed up with shocking news that he’d been fired.

Angelo was stunned. He thought, ‘After working my way up to this position, they just fire me? Just like that? No way, how is that even possible!‘

Angelo went to confront the company, demanding an explanation, but all he got were a bunch of high–sounding excuses, each one enough to justify firing him on the spot.

They cited all sorts of valid reasons, including missing work due to injury, having a bad attitude, and so on. To add insult to injury, they even waived the penalty fee, as if he was somehow getting the deal of the century.

Angelo thought in disbelief, ‘But wait, Renata was the one who got me this job in the first place! How could this be happening?‘

Renata was his ultimate backing. Renata served as vice president of this company. Even Aiden had little influence here, which was exactly why Angelo dared to treat Kelly so brazenly.

But now, he wondered if his safety net was gone.

As soon as Joanna heard this, she flew into a panic and snapped, “Didn’t you promise nothing would go wrong? Call Renata immediately!‘ how will we survive? And what about your medical bills…”
