Chapter 164
Arianna wondered, ‘This blew up so badly, and not only did Valerie never make a move, but even the Walker family hasn’t reacted at all. Are they truly unaware… or do they have another plan?‘
She quickly got her answer.
Jasmine and Meredith noticed that public opinion had completely shifted toward Valerie, captivated by her dazzling new image as the CEO’s wife. The two of them secretly let out a breath of relief. Meredith, who had been on edge for days, finally felt like she could relax now that the online mob had let her off the hook.
Meredith reasoned with herself, ‘We do feel a little guilty toward Valerie… but who knows if those compositions were actually hers to begin with?
‘If anyone’s to blame, it’s Valerie herself for being so fond of plagiarizing. We’re not at fault.
‘She chose to do it, and we just happened to expose it by accident.
Comforted by her own reasoning, Meredith lay down and drifted off into a peaceful sleep.
But Jasmine couldn’t let it go.
She seethed with resentment as she thought, ‘That bitch Arianna snatched our good work and immediately threw us under the bus the moment something went wrong. Isn’t there any way to deal with her?
‘I may hate Valerie too, but the person who deserves the most hate right now is Arianna! Why does she get to walk away clean? And now Valerie’s even become famous because of it? This is not the outcome I wanted.”
Jasminé kept refreshing her feed obsessively, and suddenly, a trending post caught her eye–it was about Valerie.
She gasped inwardly, ‘This post went up just ten minutes ago, and it already has over ten thousand shares and comments. And the numbers are still climbing? One casual refresh, and it’s already hit over a hundred thousand likes?
‘That’s insane!
‘I’ve only seen numbers like this under the top–tier celebrity accounts. This is terrifying!”
Arianna’s team was just as stunned by the sudden surge.
Everyone immediately clicked into the long post Valerie had just uploaded.
Hustler Valerie: [Hi everyone, I’m the so–called Valerie ‘Plagiarist‘ Clark.
[I’ve been so swamped lately that I haven’t been sleeping until 2 or 3 in the morning, then waking up at 7 for classes. I’ve barely had time to breathe, let alone keep up with the outside world. So you can imagine my shock today when a bunch of classmates bombarded me, saying, “Valerie, you’re done. You’ve been exposed on X.”
[I was dumbfounded.
[I opened the app and saw that my name was everywhere. I was thinking, ‘What did I do to deserve this? And so many people are yelling at me, singling
me out!
[I was angry, confused, and honestly really hurt. Then I saw that I was labeled as some shameless, repeat–offending thief of music… I was in tears. So let me clear a few things up:
[First–Yes, Jasmine Duncan and Meredith Knapp were my roommates. But we were never close. In fact, due to a conflict in our dorm, one of the girls ended up taking her own life. It scared me and another roommate–my current best friend, @AdriennePetty–so badly that we moved out immediately and rented a place near campus. A lot of students at school know about this, so feel free to ask around if you’re curious.

Chapter 164
[Second- I’ve loved music since I was little. I think anyone who wants to study music probably loves listening to it fie. Sometimes, when I hear a son like, I can’t help but want to tweak it to suit my own taste. That’s not unusual
(I listen to a lot of genres, and i also write original music. Whenever I do adaptations, I keep them separate in a box never mixing them with originals
(After this whole scandal, I remembered that box… but when I went to find it, it was already gone. And now Jasmine and Meredith’s going viral online…
[Third–I don’t need money. I’ve never wanted to profit off the stuff I fiddled with. I’m not trying to chase fame either. I just want to finish school property. Here’s a piece I adapted myself. It’s not as good as the original, but it’s more my style. Hope you don’t mind.)
A video was attached below the post.
In the video, Valerie stood center stage in a shimmering silver evening gown, her bare shoulders glowing softly under the lights. With her eyes closed, the played the violin, utterly enchanting.
The delicate notes flowed beautifully through the air, and the atmosphere felt like a dream. Valerie stood at the very heart of it all, ethereal and unearthly -like a spirit descended from heaven.
She was stunning!
That was the first reaction from everyone who saw it.
Even Arianna was no exception.
She stared blankly at the screen as a thought suddenly took root, ‘If someone like her entered showbiz, what chance would any of those social media starlets even have?‘
And the comment section went into a frenzy:
[Hustler Valerie?]
[That last line about not needing money–so chill, so unbothered, so real. When will I reach that level of effortless flexing? Truly rich, yet never obnoxious…]
[Wow! Is that really the campus beauty of Reano University in the video? She’s gorgeous! This level of beauty puts Arianna Reed and all those top–tier influencers to shame. Queen, come join the entertainment world–I’m a fan for life!]
[The CEO’s wife is too badass and she even feels like someone my age. So relatable and funny! I just wanna know–how are you this amazing? You don’t just rearrange music, you do it so well, and you even write your own stuff! Incredible!]
[That violin performance… no way you can pull that off without at least ten years of practice. Truly worthy of being the CEO’s wife. Mad respect.]
I go to Reano University. I know all about Jasmine Duncan and the suicide incident. Check my X thread if you want the full story.]
