Sebastian shook his head. "If Chimes Tower suddenly disappeared, the higher-ups at Swordity would definitely investigate it thoroughly. I'll come back another time to take it."
"But this mountain has barriers and magical seals. Once we leave, it won't be easy to get back in," Faylin reminded him.
"It's just a level four barrier and magical seal. There's nothing that can stop me," Sebastian said confidently.
Faylin was stunned. She hadn't expected Sebastian to dismiss a level four barrier and seal so casually. To make such a claim, either he was bluffing or he was an exceptionally skilled formation mage of at least level four.
Formation mages of that caliber were highly respected. Even first-tier families would go to great lengths to recruit them.
Furthermore, becoming a formation age required decades of relentless dedication, and most reached that level only in old age. Yet, Sebastian appeared so young.
If anyone else had said what Sebastian did, Faylin would have thought that they were only boasting. But coming from him, she believed it.
Though her time with Sebastian had been brief, she had witnessed firsthand how extraordinary he was.
Faylin glanced up at him, curiosity getting the better of her. "How old are you?" she asked.
"I'm almost 60," Sebastian replied with a smile.
In truth, he wasn't exactly lying.
"What?" Faylin gasped in shock, even though she had anticipated it.
"What's the matter?" Sebastian asked, puzzled.
"You're about the same age as my father," Faylin remarked, still processing the revelation.
"So what?" Sebastian said with a grin. "Look at me. I'm so handsome and charming. I don't look like an old man at all, do I?"
Sebastian approached Alfie, unable to hold back a chuckle as he looked at his pitiful state. "What happened to you? How did you end up in such a sorry condition?" he asked with a sly grin on his face.
Alfie shot a furious glare at Sebastian, and he clenched his teeth in rage. Yet, he didn't suspect Sebastian. After all, Chimes Tower was supposed to be an ownerless artifact, one even the sect elders couldn't control.
Sebastian continued with a mischievous glint in his eye. "When I came out just now, I saw a piece of meat on the ground. It looked suspiciously like… well, you know what. That couldn't have been yours, could it?"
"Pfft!"
At that, Drew and the others couldn't hold back their laughter and burst out laughing. It was as if Sebastian had hit the most sensitive nerve with perfect timing.
"You..."
Alfie pointed a trembling finger at Sebastian, overwhelmed with rage. His vision blurred, and with a final gasp of fury, he blacked out and collapsed on the spot.
