Sebastian decided to stop. He activated his active and passive energies, and a strong energy burst out of him.
His moves were swift. Every time he waved his arm, he made a gust of wind which could kill a big amount of hornets.
The dead hornets fell like raindrops. Soon, he killed all the hornets chasing him.
After discerning the directions, he headed for the mountain peak. His objective was clear. It wasn't the Chimes Tower, but the technique for the fourth transformation. Everything else was less important.
Sebastian traveled through the dense forest nimbly in light steps, as though he was one with the forest. He was alert, paying attention to his environment while holding his sword tightly.
Along the way, sounds of monsters growling kept echoing. Every time one was near, Sebastian would immediately release a formless sword energy. It flew in the direction of the monster like lightning, killing the monster instantly without wasting any time.
Finally, he reached close to the peak and could see the Chimes Tower before him. The tower stretched into the clouds and looked mysterious.
Sebastian merely took one glance at it and bolted toward the peak without hesitation.
The moment he reached the peak, a strong force greeted him. In the middle of the peak was a translucent barrier which looked like the sky, and within the barrier was a light which made Sebastian's heart pound.
He knew in his heart that the thing he wanted was hidden within the barrier. However, the strong killing formation was intimidating.
Sebastian took a deep breath, and a look of determination flashed in his eyes. He had decided to face this powerful killing formation directly. No matter how many obstacles and dangers he would face afterward, he wanted to get what he desired.
Activating all the energies within his body, he prepared himself for the next challenge. He held his spiritual artifact—Demon Blade—tightly, focusing hard as he transmitted his active and passive energies into it.
His heart was calm, and he only had determination for his objective.
"This barrier and killing formation is extraordinary, but I'd studied from Lazarus for a decade. I can't retreat now," he thought.
Dangelo was sensitive, and he picked up the spiritual energy ripple left in the air. To his surprise, he realized that the barrier at the peak had disappeared. "Someone has broken the barrier. How is this possible?"
Dangelo's mouth hung open in shock. More than once, Franz and the elders had mentioned that the barrier at the peak was a level five barrier. Even a Lesser Deity Master couldn't tamper with it.
Unless they were an incredibly powerful person who was above the Lesser Deity Realm, or a level five formation mage. However, these people only existed as legends. It was impossible that they existed here.
"Did the barrier collapse on its own because it had aged?" Dangelo muttered to himself. He didn't dwell on this and shook his head before heading toward Chimes Tower.
Meanwhile, Sebastian moved in a hurry and finally reached a cave. It wasn't a big cave, and the overgrown vines outside kept it well-hidden.
In addition, there was a strong restraining which curbed the use of spiritual senses on this mountain.
If he hadn't seen a monster coming out of this cave, he wouldn't have discovered it at all.
