Remorse After Breaking Up (Sebastian) novel Chapter 938

Sebastian had just returned home when Franz followed behind him. "Mr. Jarvis, what brings you here?" he asked, surprised. His eyes showed a hint of curiosity as he looked at Franz.

"I wanted to have a chat with you," Franz replied with a warm smile.

Sebastian led him inside and poured him a glass of water.

Franz looked at him before saying, "You look just like your father when he was your age."

"How did you and my father meet?" Sebastian asked curiously, and he pondered about Franz's purpose.

Franz eased his serious expression and replied, "Years ago, I was on the run from some enemies. Your father happened to be passing by and saved my life. That's how we became close friends."

Sebastian wanted to learn more about his father. But Franz didn't know much, especially regarding Billie's background.

"By the way, I want to apologize on behalf of Leila. She's my only daughter, and I've spoiled her since she was little. She can be quite willful, but she has a good heart. I hope you can be more patient with her," Franz said earnestly.

"I've made mistakes too. I shouldn't have publicly torn up the marriage agreement and humiliated her. Let's just call it even." Sebastian looked remorseful.

Franz continued, "Your father and I arranged this marriage, so I'd like you to reconsider."

"Mr. Jarvis, let's call off the marriage. A relationship without mutual feelings won't flourish. She's in love with Alfie, and I sincerely wish them well," Sebastian said.

"Sebastian, she didn't realize how remarkable you are, so she underestimated you. I hope you can understand that," Franz replied helplessly.

He added, "But the marriage was arranged by your father and me, so it can't just be dismissed. I'm planning to set up a wedding for you two so you can tie the knot soon."

"You've had an easy path these years, and perhaps you've grown arrogant. This loss can be a valuable lesson. Learn from it and come back stronger."

Alfie nodded. "Grandpa, I will. Once I reach the eight-star demigod realm, I'll kill Sebastian and restore my honor."

"Don't underestimate him," Cadmus warned. "Sebastian is not as simple as he seems. I suspect that he wasn't even fighting at full strength today. You might not be his equal even if you reached the eight-star demigod realm."

"What?" Alfie was taken aback. He had thought that Sebastian was only marginally stronger than him.

He assumed that defeating Sebastian would be a piece of cake once he reached the eight-star demigod realm. The revelation that Sebastian had possibly held back left him struggling to believe it.

Alfie had no reason to doubt Cadmus' words. After all, Cadmus was a Lesser Deity Master and wouldn't make mistakes in judgment. But if that were true, how would Alfie ever get his revenge?
