Rhys stood tall on the battle stage, gripping his long sword with an air of unshakable arrogance. His presence exuded a commanding aura.
Although he had witnessed Sebastian's skills before, he remained utterly dismissive. After all, his strength far surpassed that of Sebastian's previous opponents.
Rhys was at the pinnacle of the five-star demigod level and could step into the realm of six-star demigods at any moment, so he definitely had the potential to break into the top ten.
Below the stage, the crowd buzzed with excitement.
"Who do you think will win?" someone asked.
"Isn't it obvious? Mr. Young is way stronger!" another replied confidently.
"Well, hold on a second. Sebastian might not be the strongest in terms of raw power, but his mastery of formations is something else. He can set them up without anyone noticing, which makes him hard to deal with," someone countered.
"That's true. Formations are powerful, but setting one up takes time. There's no way Mr. Young would give him the chance."
"Exactly! Plus, formations rely on runes being drawn on the ground. Before they fully form, those runes are fragile. If you strike them with energy before the formation is complete, you can destroy them easily."
The crowd nodded in agreement.
On the platform, Sebastian remained calm, unfazed by Rhys' provocation. With a light chuckle, he said casually, "I've heard similar words before. You saw how that ended."
Upon hearing his words, Rhys' eyes flared with anger. He shouted angrily, "You bastard! I already know your tricks. You won't catch me off guard this time. Without your formations, you're nothing but trash. I could easily defeat you with one hand!"
Sebastian's lips curled into a smirk. "Talking big won't get you in trouble, but if you go too far, you might end up embarrassing yourself."
"How dare you underestimate me? I'll show you just how wrong you are!" Rhys fumed. He swung his word, sending a fierce sword energy straight at Sebastian.
A massive streak of green sword energy, measuring around 75 feet, descended from the sky. It carried an unstoppable and overwhelming force that seemed capable of tearing the world apart.
"Are you just going to keep jumping around like a monkey? If you've got any guts, face me head-on! If you're so scared, I'll even fight you with one hand!" Rhys roared in frustration.
However, Sebastian ignored the taunts. He was ready to counterattack at any moment once there was a slightest lapse in Rhys' focus.
Despite suppressing his cultivation to the level of a two-star demigod, his active and passive energy was still immensely powerful. A series of sword energy slashes forced Rhys to keep retreating.
Shocked and enraged, Rhys let out a furious bellow and unleashed his ultimate technique.
With a roar, his wood-based spiritual energy surged out from his body like a tidal wave.
His eyes gleamed with determination as he brandished his sword.
As the sword swung, green light coalesced before him, forming a massive energy sphere. The sphere pulsed with terrifying power, brimming with vitality and raw strength, as if it held the boundless energy of life itself.
