Leila hadn't gone far, and she had even overheard Alfie's words. Instead of getting angry, she walked over and leaned into Alfie's arms.
Alfie was thrilled by this. He held her tightly and asked, "Do you see this, brat? Ms. Leila and I are in love. I advise you to call off the engagement and get lost!"
Leila sneered as well. "I'm like a soaring eagle, while you're just a pest from the gutter. How dare you even dream of catching a swan like me? What a delusional fool."
Sebastian didn't get angry. He feigned surprise and said, "Leila, that's not what you were like yesterday. You even said you only had eyes for me and went as far as taking off your clothes to serve me."
"Shut up! If you dare to spout more nonsense, I'll kill you!" Leila shouted in fury. Then, she turned to Alfie and said, "Alfie, don't believe him. He's lying through his teeth."
"I believe you completely," Alfie replied, glaring at Sebastian with murderous intent. "How dare you slander Leila? Do you really think I won't kill you?"
Sebastian simply smiled. "I'm telling the truth. There's even a little black mole on the top of her chest. If you don't believe me, you can check for yourself."
Leila's face went pale in shock, and she instinctively covered her chest with her hand.
Alfie's expression darkened instantly. Leila's reaction had already confirmed everything. Sebastian was telling the truth about the mole.
"Sebastian, you bastard! I don't know where you got that information, but let me warn you—you're nothing but a bug to me! You're nothing compared to Alfie!" Leila snapped.
Then, she turned to Alfie and said, "Alfie, please believe me. I'm still untouched. Don't let his lies sway you."
"Don't worry, Leila. I trust you completely," Alfie said while holding her even tighter. Then he turned to Sebastian, "This is the last time I'm going to tolerate your nonsense. If you dare to speak ill of Leila again, I will end you."
With that, Alfie wrapped his arm around Leila and walked away.
Sebastian stood there with a bitter smile. He had initially hoped to use Leila to find the fourth transformation technique, but now it was clear that plan was dead in the water.
The best course of action seemed to be participating in the tournament. If he placed in the top ten, he would be granted legitimate access.
The problem was that since he wasn't officially a member of Swordity, he wasn't eligible to join the tournament. Just when he was feeling stuck, Franz came to see him.
"Sebastian, even though you have a marriage contract with Leila, many years have passed since then. Leila has found someone else she's fond of and doesn't want to marry you. But after my persistent persuasion, she has decided to give you a chance."
"What kind of chance?" Sebastian asked eagerly. He wasn't genuinely interested in marrying Leila, but if marrying her meant he could be considered a part of Swordity, then he would qualify to participate in the tournament.
Franz continued, "In a few days, Swordity will hold its annual disciple tournament. I want you to participate. If you can make it to the top three, Leila will agree to marry you. What do you think?"
Sebastian pretended to hesitate, but in reality, he was overjoyed. He'd been trying to figure out how to gain access to the forbidden area, and now Franz had handed him the perfect opportunity to join the tournament on a silver platter.
