Remorse After Breaking Up (Sebastian) novel Chapter 903

"Yes, that's correct," Sebastian admitted with a nod.

"You actually tricked me into thinking that you were the heir of an elite family. You're despicable!" Leila shouted in rage.

"Ms. Jarvis, let me clarify something. I never once claimed to be the heir of an elite family. That was entirely your own misunderstanding," Sebastian explained.

After thinking it over, Leila realized that he was right. Nevertheless, she was still furious.

"Even if you didn't explicitly say it, your silence was misleading. You made me believe a lie! Let me tell you this. There's no way I'm ever marrying you, so you'd better give up on that idea!"

With that, Leila stormed off, her anger only growing. The more she thought about it, the more infuriated she became.

Just the night before, she had tried to seduce Sebastian, even going so far as to expose herself to him. Now, the thought of it made her want to tear him to pieces.

After leaving Sebastian, she went straight to her father. She said, "Father, Sebastian is nothing but a fraud! He has no elite family background at all. His father disappeared years ago and might even be dead by now."

"Is that so? Are you sure about this information?" Franz asked cautiously.

"It's completely reliable," Leila replied, then proceeded to tell him everything she had learned.

Franz furrowed his brows. "If that's true, then it's possible that something really did happen to Sebastian's father. Otherwise, he wouldn't have stayed away for so many years.

"But I've heard of Juniper Gaudium. He's known as the top talent in South Mount. If Sebastian could defeat him, that speaks to his skills."

Leila scoffed. "Sebastian's over 30, and he's a few years older than Juniper. What's so impressive about beating him? Besides, Juniper might be a big deal in the backwater of South Mount, but here, in Swordity, he wouldn't even make a ripple."

Franz nodded in agreement. "That's true. With his five-star demigod cultivation, Juniper wouldn't even rank in the top ten here in Swordity. Plus, he's nowhere near Alfie's level."

"Exactly! That's why this engagement must be called off. I will never marry Sebastian," Leila declared angrily.

Franz frowned and said, "Without his father's backing, he truly isn't a good match for you. Breaking the engagement seems like the right move.

"However, if you publicly call off the engagement, people will gossip. It'll be better if you can make him dislike you so much that he breaks it off himself. That way, no one will have anything to say."

"That's easy. I already have the perfect idea," Leila replied with a cold smile.
