Remorse After Breaking Up (Sebastian) novel Chapter 884

"No." Lucius instantly regained his composure and smiled warmly. "I just have a feeling that what you hold is extraordinary. May I take a look?"

"Sure." Sebastian handed the Aether Script to him with a flicker of disappointment in his eyes.

He thought Lucius might have seen it before, and this would make the search easier. Even if Lucius found something unrelated to the fourth stage, any lead was still better than none.

Lucius examined the Aether Script closely for a long time before returning it to Sebastian. "Sir, this script is quite peculiar. Can you tell me what it is?"

"I don't know either. I've heard it might be a treasure map, and there's more than one piece. That's why I want to find it," Sebastian replied.

Lucius said, "We can help you with your search, but it won't be cheap. You should be mentally prepared for the cost."

"How much spiritual stone will it cost?" Sebastian asked.

Lucius smiled lightly. "Our Chamber of Commerce has five tiers for finding items. The first tier is the cheapest, but the success rate is only ten percent. The second tier is slightly more expensive, with a 30 percent success rate.

"The third tier is around 50 percent, while the fourth tier increases to about 70 percent. The fifth, and highest, tier boasts over 90 percent success."

"Why are there five tiers?" Sebastian asked, puzzled.

Lucius smiled and explained, "Finding items requires significant manpower and resources. The higher the tier, the more resources we use, and the broader the search area. Naturally, this increases the costs."

"What if you can't find it?" Sebastian pressed.

"If we cannot locate it, we will refund half of your payment," Lucius replied with a smile.

Sebastian felt exasperated. If they took the money without even trying to search, they could pocket half of it without breaking a sweat. He wondered if the Chamber of Commerce operated this way to keep their business afloat.

Still, the Bejeweled Tower had a good reputation, and he had no other option but to give it a shot.
