Lillian and Gina were thrilled because they could be with Sebastian again. But Lana and Cassandra were disappointed, while Esme and Zia looked like they might cry.
Though Lana and Cassandra wouldn't be with Sebastian, at least they were following someone decent. But Esme and Zia were following Chase, who gave off a creepy vibe that made everyone uneasy. He didn't seem like a good person at all.
Sebastian clasped his fists and said, "I appreciate Mr. Gaudium's offer, but I'd like to join the Harmonia Sect."
His words shocked everyone. No one expected him to refuse Galen's invitation. It took some guts to say no like that.
As expected, Galen's expression darkened. "Brat, are you looking down on the Gaudium Sect?"
Sebastian felt the weight of his hostility but stood firm. "I don't mean to disrespect your sect. I just think the Harmonia Sect suits me better."
Galen glared at Sebastian for a long time. Lillian and the others felt uneasy, as they feared that he might explode.
"Fine. Do as you wish." In the end, Galen suppressed his anger. At over 150 years old, he knew that it would be unbecoming for someone of his stature to get caught up in such trivial matters with a younger person.
Lillian and the others immediately breathed a sigh of relief, but she and Gina felt a hint of disappointment. They had hoped to stay with Sebastian, but they never thought he would decide to join the Harmonia Sect.
In contrast, Esme and Zia were pleased. With him staying close to them, they felt a bit more secure.
Sebastian turned to Chase and said, "I want to join your sect. I hope you'll consider it."
