"Please, don't kill me! I'll agree to whatever conditions you set, so just spare my life!"
Apex knelt on the ground while trembling violently, begging desperately for mercy. At this moment, he was a far cry from the arrogant and overbearing figure he had once been.
Many people secretly sneered at him. After all, he was the Divine Son of the Divine Sect, one of the most prominent young powerhouses. Yet here he was, displaying no backbone whatsoever.
At this point, apart from Apex, the only other surviving member of the Divine Sect was the Goddess, Armina. Everyone else had been effortlessly slain by Sebastian.
Though Armina remained standing, she was clearly terrified. Her face was drained of color, and her eyes were filled with dread.
Sebastian stepped up to Apex and kicked him hard in the stomach.
With a loud thud, Apex spewed blood as he was sent flying backward. He landed a few feet away, struggling to get back up.
Glaring at Sebastian with eyes full of rage and resentment, he pointed a trembling finger and shouted, "You've crippled my cultivation base! This is inhumane!"
For cultivators, losing their cultivation base was akin to becoming crippled, especially for those with deep, hard-earned power.
It was like climbing a mountain—the higher one climbed, the harder the fall.
Apex had once stood at the pinnacle, nearly at the top of the cultivation world as a late-stage divine grandmaster and the Divine Son of the Divine Sect.
Now, with his powers stripped away, all his years of effort were rendered meaningless. Every ounce of his glory was now lost.
"Drakaria, Hydra, this man is yours to deal with," Sebastian said while turning to the two.
"Thank you, Supreme Lord Sebastian," Drakaria and Hydra responded gratefully. They then approached Apex, their eyes blazing with fury and killing intent.
"Ahhh!"
The following two minutes became the most excruciating moments of Apex's life. Drakaria and Hydra didn't kill him quickly. Instead, they took their time, breaking every bone in his body one by one.
Though such means were brutal, compared to all the atrocities Apex had committed, torturing him ten times over wouldn't have been enough.
