Sebastian said, "Mr. Gardner, I hope you haven't forgotten our discussion from three days ago. I requested that you lend me your sect's ultimate mastery guide.
"You mentioned needing to consult with the elders. Now that three days have passed, have you decided?"
Korbin appeared troubled. "Mr. Wilder, lending out our ultimate mastery guide isn't something we normally do. Mr. Olsen also requested it, so I'm unsure how to manage this situation."
Sebastian smiled faintly and said, "Mr. Gardner, the guide belongs to your sect. The decision on who gets to borrow it is yours."
Dorian said coldly, "Mr. Gardner, have you made your decision? My patience is wearing thin."
Korbin sighed heavily. "I'm fine with lending out the guide. Since both of you requested it, I'm at a loss. Perhaps you two should work it out between yourselves."
Dorian turned to Sebastian. "Brat, I'm set on borrowing that guide. You'd better know your place."
Sebastian faced Dorian and used his spiritual senses to assess Dorian's cultivation base. He quickly learned that Dorian had reached the pinnacle of divine grandmaster.
Dorian was the most skilled cultivator Sebastian had encountered in Coreland. Cultivators here were generally a step below those on the surface, so reaching such a realm was no small feat for Dorian.
After the pinnacle of divine grandmaster, there was a vast and nearly insurmountable gap before the next realm. Even those on the surface who reached this realm early often hit a dead end and couldn't advance further.
"Everything should follow a first-come, first-served principle. I requested the guide from Mr. Gardner three days ago, and you only came today. So, it's only fair that I get priority," Sebastian said.
"How dare you challenge my dad? You've got some nerve!" Timothy roared in anger.
Sebastian sneered. "Dorian Olsen, right? You should know that crossing me won't be good for you either."
Everyone was stunned. Nobody expected him to challenge Dorian openly. It was like he was inviting disaster.
Timothy fumed. "Brat, how dare you show disrespect to my dad. You're courting death!"
He was about to act when Kaitlyn suddenly stepped in front of Sebastian. "Mr. Timothy, please calm down. We're willing to lend the guide to your father. Let's end this here."
When he saw her defending Sebastian again, Timothy felt like he had been cuckolded. He snapped, "Kaitlyn, don't forget who you're engaged to. You're my fiancée, yet you're siding with another man. Do I even matter to you?"
