Heather panicked because she had assumed that Sebastian was already dead.
She thought that she could defame him without any consequences since there would be no evidence and no one around to refute her claims. But now that he was alive, things were not going to go in her favor.
"Sebastian, Heather claims that you'd cheated in the assessment. What do you have to say about that?" Korbin asked.
Sebastian smiled faintly and replied, "It's easy to make accusations. If you think I cheated, then show me the evidence."
"Why did you flee if you didn't cheat?" Korbin pressed.
"I didn't cheat. Why are you accusing me of fleeing from guilt?" Sebastian replied.
Bertha said, "I only gave you two days of leave. I even sent someone to your home yesterday, and they mentioned you left early that morning.
"You should have arrived the same day. So, why have you only returned now? Where were you last night?"
Sebastian turned to Heather with a mocking smile. "You should ask your favorite disciple where I was last night."
Heather's eyes betrayed a moment of panic, but she quickly composed herself. "How would I know where you were last night? You'd better don't make baseless accusations."
He grinned wickedly. "We were up late playing games in your bed last night. You haven't forgotten that already, huh?"
Everyone was taken aback by what he said.
Her face turned a mix of shock and anger. "Cut the nonsense. Even though we're engaged, I've always maintained my integrity. You have no right to defame me."
"Yes. He's so vile for trying to tarnish Ms. Knott's reputation."
"He must have realized that Ms. Knott caught him cheating and is now taking revenge."
"To ruin someone's reputation like this is just low and disgraceful."
