"Huh?" Heather noticed Sebastian's chest was still rising and falling. She checked his breath and muttered, "You're still alive?"
"Heather, are you done?" Martin's voice came from outside the door.
"Just a moment." She hurriedly put on her clothes and dressed Sebastian before letting Martin in.
"How did it go? Did it work?" Martin asked, his face full of hope.
"Yes," Heather said excitedly.
"Great! This forbidden technique really does the job. From now on, you can look for talented men and harness their energies.
"Your power will keep growing, and who knows how far you'll go? You could even become a Demigod." He grew more excited as he spoke.
The Essence Transfusion wasn't restricted to women, as men could also use it. Martin had tried it before but hadn't encountered a woman with exceptional talent.
Given his high cultivation base, the results hadn't been as impressive. Still, he was confident he would find a talented woman soon. He believed that he and Heather would eventually dominate the world.
"Dad, this bastard doesn't seem to be dead yet. Should I kill him?" she asked while pointing at the unconscious Sebastian.
"No need. He's barely clinging to life and won't live long. We'll deal with him later," he said.
Martin and Heather didn't summon their housekeepers for help. Instead, they used the cover of night to transport Sebastian to a cliff several miles away and threw him off.
