The Greymoor Estate was even more impressive than Sebastian had imagined.
The massive crimson gates stood wide open, adorned with intricate carvings that radiated Lucian's authority.
Beyond the entrance stretched a sprawling courtyard, complete with flowing streams, meticulously arranged pavilions, and ornamental rock gardens. Every detail spoke of luxury and elegance.
Davion led Sebastian and his group through a series of winding corridors. Finally, they arrived at the main hall. The interior was a lavish display of opulence, with gilded decor, priceless paintings, and ornate rugs that softened every footstep.
Davion gestured for them to sit and had staff bring fragrant tea.
"Supreme Lord, please wait here for a moment. I'll check if Mr. Greymoor has finished his seclusion." With that, Davion left.
Another hour slipped by, and Rainey was enraged.
"This is outrageous! Lucian is pushing it too far. Supreme Lord, what should we do?" she asked.
Sebastian's gaze drifted across the estate. "What do you think of that palace over there?" he asked, pointing at an extravagant, gold-trimmed building across the courtyard.
"Not bad, but right now we need to focus on meeting Lucian and securing this estate. We have to be prepared before Calix's grandfather arrives," said Rainey.
Stephanie nodded in agreement. "Ms. Lloyd is right. Facing an Intermediate Deity Realm Masters is no joke. We'll need Aruna City's protective array if we're going to stand a chance.
"That palace is an eyesore," Sebastian said to himself.
Rainey and Stephanie exchanged confused glances. They were discussing taking control of the estate, and here Sebastian was, fixated on a palace.
In the next moment, their confusion turned to shock as Sebastian pulled out a rocket launcher and loaded a shell.
Without the slightest hesitation, he fired.
Rainey shouted with a sharp voice, "Lucian, how dare you? Do you realize who you're threatening? This is the Supreme Lord! Who gave you the audacity to make a move against him?"
At the same time, she unsheathed her long sword and prepared to strike.
Lucian feigned a look of shock. "The Supreme Lord? Stand down, all of you," he ordered the guards, waving them back.
He looked at Sebastian and continued, "Forgive me, Supreme Lord. I wasn't aware of your arrival. My mistake... Please accept my apology."
Sebastian saw right through the act. It was obvious Lucian knew who he was from the moment they entered. If it hadn't been for the explosion, he would likely still be hiding.
"Apology accepted. It's not easy getting an audience with you, is it?" Sebastian replied with a cold smile.
Lucian forced a smile, then said, "Supreme Lord, why did you destroy my palace? I deserve an explanation for that."
