Remorse After Breaking Up (Sebastian) novel Chapter 1148

"Watch out, Mr. Wilder!" Delaney warned anxiously, her eyes full of worry.

After Calix had seen Sebastian's strength, he still launched an attack with so much confidence. This proved that he was confident of his own strength, and Sebastian might not be his match.

In spite of that, Sebastian was calm and wore a smile. The tip of the sword was about to pierce his throat. At the critical moment, he suddenly extended his hand and grabbed the sword.

This was an incredibly dumb thing to do, in everyone's opinion, because Calix was using a sharp, mid-range spiritual artifact.

The power of mid-range spiritual artifacts were extraordinary. In the entire Windwalker Kingdom, it was said that only the royal family had one, and it was a national treasure.

Using his hand to grab a mid-range spiritual longsword was undoubtedly asking for death.

However, everyone was gaping the next second because they saw Sebastian holding the sword firmly. The bloody scene which they imagined didn't happen.

Instead, his hand was perfectly fine, and the sword came to a stop in less than an inch away from his throat.

"How is this possible?" Calix was stunned. His expression was a mixture of shock and disbelief.

"Die!" After being in stunned silence for a second, Calix roared in anger. Then, he used his spiritual energy and wanted to push the sword into Sebastian's throat.

Like a pair of iron pliers, Sebastian's hand held the sword firmly. No matter how much force Calix exerted, the sword wouldn't move forward even a little.

"This sword is not bad. I'll keep it," Sebastian said and shook the sword hard.

Calix's knuckles cracked, and he released the sword as though he was electrocuted.

The crowd was shocked beyond words. Initially, they thought that Calix could easily kill Sebastian, but the latter had snatched the former's sword so easily. This strength was incredible.

"You should be glad. If our fathers weren't friends, it's not your finger on the ground now but your head."

"I won't let you off!" Leila screamed hysterically.

"You're delusional," Sebastian uttered emotionlessly and took a step. In an instant, he was in front of her and gave her a slap.

Along with the crisp sound of a slap, Leila was sent about 25 feet away before falling hard on the ground.

Everyone was taken aback. Nobody thought that Sebastian would be so harsh and showed no mercy to such a beautiful woman.

Leila struggled to her feet. When she glowered at Sebastian, her eyes were burning with fury, but more of it was fear.

Previously, Sebastian didn't do anything to her no matter how she kept provoking him. This led her to have the wrong idea that he didn't dare to do anything to her, or maybe he couldn't bear to.
