At Huntley's command, the Karcher family's elites charged toward Sebastian. Their killing intent was soaring.
However, the two Lesser Deity Masters of the Karcher family remained still. To them, Sebastian was nothing more than an upstart. Even as a pinnacle demigod, he was insignificant in their eyes.
Besides, the Karcher family had dozens of demigods, including several pinnacle demigods. With such numbers, even a Lesser Deity Master would think twice before engaging.
Yet, Sebastian stood there motionless. The smile on his lips remained unwavering, as if he were merely a spectator.
Just then, seven figures descended from the sky, each landing at a distinct point as they formed a circle around Sebastian. They wore robes in seven colors—red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet—each with a matching mask.
"The Heptakill assassins!"
The Karcher family's experts, who were poised to strike Sebastian, halted in their tracks. Their faces now showed unmistakable fear. Even Huntley and the two Lesser Deity Master elders looked alarmed.
The name Heptakill was legendary, with each member more terrifying than the last. Anyone targeted by them had never escaped.
Huntley addressed Rufus with a respectful bow. "The Karcher family has always stayed out of Heptakill's way. Why would you choose to stand against us?"
Rufus ignored Huntley, instead turning with the other six members to face Sebastian. Then, they knelt on one knee in unison. "Greetings, boss!"
The entire Karcher family, including Quinn, stood stunned as their eyes widened with disbelief.
In their minds, Heptakill was an immensely fearsome entity. And now, they were kneeling before a young man, even addressing him as "boss". It was almost too much for them to process.
"Stand up," Sebastian said calmly with his hands clasped behind his back.
