Remorse After Breaking Up (Sebastian) novel Chapter 1070

"Damn it!" Sebastian cursed inwardly.

He knew that in his current state, he had no strength left to keep fighting. If the men in black caught up, he would be at their mercy.

"Sebastian, I'm sorry… This is all my fault…" Delaney said tearfully.

However, she didn't give up. Holding onto him tightly, she flew with every ounce of her strength.

Delaney's speed was impressive. For a short while, the massive bird behind them struggled to keep up.

However, carrying another person was exhausting, and she could only keep it up for half an hour before she started to falter.

A towering mountain range emerged ahead, with its peaks shrouded in a thick layer of mist. Even in broad daylight, the scene exuded an eerie, bone-chilling aura.

"Princess Delaney, let's go there!" Sebastian said.

"Alright!" she replied.

They changed course, heading toward the mountains.

Delaney knew exactly where they were headed. They were heading to the Mountain of Death. It was said that entering meant near-certain death, but they had no other options.

Soon, they reached the mountain's entrance and flew right in without hesitation. A dense forest lay ahead, its massive trees like towering umbrellas shielding the land.

They flew cautiously through the forest until they came upon a vast lake with black water.

"Let's rest here for a bit," Sebastian suggested.

"Sure," Delaney replied.

As they descended over the lake, preparing to land, an intense presence suddenly surged up from its depths.

"Watch out! Something's coming!" Sebastian warned.

He quickly pulled Delaney upward, but it was too late. As a gigantic creature shot out of the lake, it made threatening gestures and lunged straight at them.

"Sebastian!" Delaney was terrified. She quickly flew over and fetched Sebastian.

"Are you alright?" she asked, tears streaming down her cheeks as she took in his pale face.

"I'm fine. I'm not done yet." Sebastian pulled out a pill and swallowed it before sitting down cross-legged to focus on his recovery.

He had reached the Ironbound Realm, so his defense was formidable. Though he was hurt, his life was not in immediate danger.

At that moment, several men emerged from the trees nearby. They had rough, menacing faces, and one of them was holding a little girl.

The girl was about seven or eight years old. She had an angelic face, with a pair of round and bright eyes. Her clothes were simple and worn, which only added to her innocent charm.

When the men spotted Delaney, they stopped in their tracks, momentarily stunned.

"What a beauty! Could she be a goddess coming down to earth?"
