As Sebastian continued to release spiritual energy, the magma underneath the furnace started to boil. It kept rolling and emitting heat waves.
At the same time, the formations within the furnace were activated. The temperature increased rapidly, and it didn't take long until it reached a terrifying temperature.
One of the materials in the furnace started to melt. As the temperature increased, the second and third material melted one after the other.
The entire time, Sevyn was observing the situation in the furnace. In his opinion, Sebastian was bound to fail because some materials would be damaged when the temperature was too high, whereas some couldn't be refined of the impurities within if the temperature was too low.
However, after about 15 minutes, the fury on his face gradually disappeared. Instead, he was stunned because the liquid in the furnace started to take shape, and it was a dagger which looked similar to his.
His eyes told him that the materials were not damaged.
"I'm sure he can't forge a spiritual artifact because the temperature isn't high enough," he thought.
Another two minutes passed by. Sebastian extended a finger, and the bright red dagger dropped into a pool. Immediately, there were boiling ripples, and water vapor drifted into the air, forming a curtain of mist.
As the dagger fell deeper, the calm water surface started to roll violently, as though a huge amount of energy had been injected into it, and a low rumble echoed from the rolling water.
The dagger quickly cooled down in the water, gradually losing its red hot surface and revealing the gleam of its original materials. It glimmered weakly, like a mystical animal gradually awakening.
When the glimmer became stronger, the pool lit up, and the rippling surface danced in a mysterious light. The dagger lay quietly at the bottom of the pool and emanated a heart-shuddering quality.
Sevyn was full of shock and disbelief because he could sense that the dagger Sebastian made was undoubtedly a spiritual artifact.
Only a fourth-tier weapon-making master could achieve this. Although he couldn't forge one as good as Sebastian, Sebastian was simply too young as he wasn't even 40 years old yet. Such a young weapon-making master was a monster.
Sebastian reached out and closed his palm. As though it was alive, the dagger sped out of the water and flew into his hand.
With a determined attitude, Sevyn replied, "Knowledge knows no age and the one who achieves higher knowledge is the leader. You may be young, but your weapon-making skills are way better than mine. You're more than qualified to be my teacher, and I don't care about the opinion of others."
From the bottom of his heart, Sevyn was in awe of Sebastian despite the fact that the dagger made by Sebastian was only 10% more powerful than his.
Still, it would be wrong to underestimate this 10%. If their skills were on par, this was enough to determine the winner.
If this dagger was put on sale, it would at least be 50% more expensive than the dagger he made, and might even be double the price.
Furthermore, Sebastian's production speed was a few times faster than him. Refining the materials together at the same time was a stunning technique which was unseen and unheard of.
It had been many years since he was a fourth-tier weapon-making master and couldn't ascend to the fifth-tier, no matter what. However, Sebastian's appearance brought him a glimmer of hope, so he must hold on to it firmly.
