Chapter 576 Pissed off
His voice, as well as his eyes, were cold and calm. Even so, Claude caught the fierceness in Jordy’s eyes and dared not make contact with him. Yvonne nodded in a hurry.
“Yeah, yeah, we know that you are busy. We shouldn’t be here to bother you, but… The White Group did cross the line this time. We never should have stood up against your Collins from the very first beginning. We are here to apologize to you. I hope that you can forgive us for our wrongdoings and let go.”
Yvonne was always abrasive, but at this moment, she acted like a well-mannered woman with a good temper. Claude’s color came and went as he listened.
Restraining his feeling of annoyance was the biggest concession he could make. He would never say sorry to Jordy. Claude thought that he had debased himself coming here. In addition, Yvonne had made an apology on behalf of both of them, which said loud for his sincerity.
Claude was convinced that Jordy would never find fault with him and accept his apology willingly. Nonetheless, things never turned out as Claude expected.
Just as he was about to call Jordy’s name, he suddenly received a sharp stern glance from Jordy. So he corrected himself, “Mr. Collins, it was all my fault before. My wife was also reckless and ignorant. Could you please forgive us…”
Claude was too ashamed to say anything more. He never begged someone like this. Jordy averted his eyes in silence and didn’t say a word. Claude and Yvonne exchanged a look, wondering what Jordy had in his mind and getting terrified. But no matter what, Yvonne was here. She would not take no as an answer. So she fixed her eyes on Jordy and went on, “Mr. Collins, I know that the incident harmed your group. And it was all our fault. What can we do to make you feel better? You name it and we’ll do anything. Please. Please give us an opportunity to make it up to you…”
Jordy squinted and remained silent. Claude turned even redder. He had never groveled to anyone like this in his life, not to mention Jordy, a young man in his early 20s. Claude was pissed off!
