Chapter 416 An Acquaintance
Harold stiffened, snapped back to reality, and somehow felt guilty. He wondered if his boss had read his mind.
Gloria wandered around in the street instead of going home. She seemed to be waiting for someone.
Or she was just taking a walk.
People went into or came out of the bar.
The street was lit,
Gloria glanced at the entrance of the bar from time to time. Emotions were mixed in her eyes.
Soon, her phone beeped.
“It was not him.” It was a message from Vincent.
“Okay, thanks.” Gloria texted back.
Then she prepared to put away her phone.
The man sent over a picture of whacking her, followed by another similar picture from the other man in the chatting group.
“Change your bad habit. You don‘t have to thank me.” Vincent texted.
“Gloria, you‘re toxic,” Braxton commented.
“I was wrong,” Gloria replied.
Both men were sensible and supportive.
After learning about her divorce, they reappeared.
That was their way of comforting her.
Although they rarely contacted each other all these years, it didn‘t mean that their ties were broken.
In fact, Braxton and Vincent were both from rich families. They had seen much of the world.
She stopped wandering and headed to the parking lot.
The underground parking lot was packed. A lot of people came to get their cars. Gloria raised her eyes before a familiar face came into view.
