Chapter 414 None of My Business
Corey‘s eyes were glazed at the mention of his name. It showed that she knew about him.
No longer that hostile, he drew his hand back and rejected, “Not interested.”
Although the others couldn‘t hear them, they were amazed.
“What the hell! He put his hand back. Is he interested in that woman?”
“Are you kidding me? She has ulcers all over her face. Who would be interested in her?”
“Corey doesn‘t know!”
All the eyes were on the two of them, and Corey became the man of the hour.
After all, this man was refined and had rejected so many women. Everyone was curious if he was into this lady.
Corey‘s words didn‘t bother her. She remained composed as she said, “As far as I can remember, there is a very important person in your life. You used to say that you were forever indebted to him and would repay him even with your life.”
Corey froze before his eyes fell on Gloria.
“Who are you?”
Gloria‘s lips curved up. “Your benefactor has passed away. Would you find it unreasonable if his daughter asks you for a favor?”
Astonished, Corey sized her up. To his surprise, she was that woman.
After a while, he croaked, “What do you need me to do?”
“Miss White? What is she doing here?”
His face blanched the moment he recognized the man sitting across from her.
In a serious tone, he told the man in front of him, “Mr. Collins, that man is named Corey Hansen. Those familiar with him all know about his sexual orientation. In fact, it‘s just his disguise! It‘s dangerous for Miss White to stay with him.”
Jordy turned livid, ground his teeth, and said in an indifferent voice, “Her life or death is none of my business.”
Jordy ignored Gloria and continued his way forward.
Harold had another look. Both parties looked normal, and he was unsure about the situation. Despite his concern, he followed behind Jordy.
No sooner had he taken a few steps than the man in front of him stopped again.
